That has got to be the worst part of a break up. I know when my ex did it, I thought that she was going to move on and marry the guy.
In my mind, she was the most amazing woman and I kept thinking about her great qualities.
So I knew she would he would see them too. In that situation, he happen to have the woman he had been wanting for 4 years to have come back into his life and he wound up dumping her.
But this is before I understood all the things I know now. So I messed it up and embarrassed myself at Applebees.
That’s why im here. Because when you work with me I’m going to make sure you don’t mess up.
And if you do, its because you didn’t listen.

After talking to you I understood what I should do if i want to get my ex back, how to soothe my anxiety and generally i felt so much better! I finally could eat and sleep.
As you said, my ex reached out... in a couple of days after the coaching, asking how i was. I was friendly but not eager. The next day he said he felt so bad and loved me a lot, also that things might work out in future but the fights were too much to handle for him. I understand, i cant make him feel trapped and tell him how much i love him, i dont want to push him away. At the same time I worry he could think i am not interested. I really wasn't ready for him to say this.
I will continue work on myself and watch your videos. It helps me a lot going through difficult time of my life. I do hope i can do all i can to reattract Ian and become a better version of myself as i learn a lot of information from your videos. Thanks to the all work you do!
1 They just came out of a relationship and they have a high level of interest.
So if they had a 5 year relationship and just broke up 3 months ago.
2) Do they have an anxious attachment style? The rebound is going to be less likely to last if they do.
3 Are they trying to make you jealous. Do you feel like their trying to make their ex jealous.
Throw you in their face. Its because they still care
4 Are they really angry at you. Do they get into texting arguments with you.
5 Are they emotional around you?
6 Were they the one who was dumped
7) Are they reaching out to you at all
8 Are they using them for a distraction

Which makes me happy 🤣🤣 If you start dating someone immediately just to feel better, the relationship will fail. You have to work on yourself for at least six months to a year, before you can successfully date again. I know my ex is just using his current girlfriend to fill the void of my absence. I think he really thought that I would be chasing after him, especially on Valentine's Day. So I'm not at all surprised that he got into a relationship right before Valentine's Day, even though only 13 weeks ago, he ended things with me because he said he wasn't ready for a relationship. I know that he's just using her because he's not at all romantic with her like he was with me. And most people who just get into a relationship post pictures together and are lovey-dovey with each other and they are not. Let me tell you something about "rebound" relationships. They often can and do work long term if the person is over you or they never really had true feelings for you to begin with. My ex wife left me for a guy she chatted with for over 2 months and drove 540 miles to be with this guy and they worked out for 6 years. My last g/f of nearly 5 years broke up with me in December, 2014 to be with another man she had lined up behind my back that I thought was "just a friend" and here it is June ,2017 and they are STILL together, living with each other and ENGAGED, so don't be deceived by the so called "rebound" relationship, if they are over you, why not start a new relationship with someone new? They do work, I've seen it way too much and it astounds me.

Rock N if they are over you, then is not a rebound relationship bro. A rebound is where either the dumper or dumpee are still attached to their ex partner. But the fact is that, yes, rebounds can work, but very few of them do. Just my thoughts.

They could easily move on the next guy because they were over me and yes, I did still hear from them but in the end, it really meant nothing cause they were securely attached to the new guy by then.

I think people think that just because they jumped into a new relationship, it's automatically doomed but not always. I learned this the hard way with the last 3 women I was involved with, and my last girlfriend is now engaged with the man she left me for from late 2014, so although it may be a rare thing, it seems to happen quite a bit that it can work out for long term.

Similar situation as me. I wasn't in a open relationship with her but we used to talk a lot in school and college. Well 4 years later not seeing her she got married this year to a family relative. Was really heartbroken but after talking to friends who were in contact with her I heard nothing but bad things with her. My ex who is a single mother broke up our almost 2 year relationship,a month ago. I accepted her child and supported/loved him(and my ex) as if he were my own. My ex ended it because I got angry with her that she will allow the real father to visit his son after the quarantine is over. IF along the way,a ubiquitous 3rd party informs me that she's in a rebound: I will train even harder at the gym(at present 1 hour daily) Clean the house more frequently. Wash the 2 cars more. Play my 2 instruments more. Take my dog for longer runs(2kms daily at present) Reconnect with my immediate family & cousins Pray more. Read more. Invest in business more. Stash more into savings. Inquire into therapy for my anxious attachment style. And watch more coach Craig vids. Gotta better myself,fix myself,and combat my low moods bcoz I do miss her at times. Yet,I want to eventually ignore her. I feel as if I'm starting to not care about her & her child anymore. Those feel good endorphins from exercise sure do help.

Craig, you make all great points here but in my cases, my last 3 ex's did many of these things that you are talking about here but they still moved on. Yes, they stayed in contact, still got emotional BUT ..... Still moved on to the next guy and saw greener pastures in the end after communicating for a few weeks to a few months, so in the end, we were over anyway.

only goes to show, that there is not "one size fits all" solution to any relationship situation, whether it's a breakup or something else. The only thing that is a constant in those situations is yourself. So in situation that you can't control, just put the focus on yourself. Because in the end, you maybe can't control the circumstances, but you can control the way you deal with those circumstances, and if you give your best effort, but it still doesn't work the way you had in mind, you can just let it go, because you know that you did all you could. Don't fall into a victim mindset, but be proactive. Do what you can and just let the rest go :)

Rock N - Did you give off the friend vibe when they reached out? Werent congruent with your words? Were too available and interested? Perhaps you reached out once or twice? Never dated anyone new? Maybe you looked less attractive in comparrison to their new guys because you displayed weakness. The rule is, when they reach out, try to make a date. If they wont, withdraw the offer and walk away. Only do this on two consecutive occassions when they reach out. If they turn you down both times, then don't ask them anymore. You keep it brief, then tell her you've gotta go, keep in touch. You repeat this until she brings up getting together or stops contacting you. You don't reach out. You do not agree to being friends only. Keep your feelings to yourself. You communicate what you want. You stay off the phone, and you move on with your life and start dating. Did you do any of these things? There is usually a window of time before your ex falls in love with her new guy. At that point she's gone (unless he starts screwing up or the relationship ends) If his game is tight it should take around two months for her to fall for him. So if she reaches out during that time because she still has feelings for you and is unsure/confused, your game has to be tight also. You can't make mistakes because the new guy will look more attractive. However if you just did what i said detailed above, seen as though they were reaching out, their interest will increase. The new guy will sense this and begin to chase and become insecure which will then make you look more attractive. This combined with your emotional bond will give you a huge advantage. The only time an ex will move onto greener pastures, is if: 1) She stays with you to the point she feels nothing for you. You displayed too much weakness. She has lost all respect. (Although in this case she wouldn't reach out to you at all. She'd be happy to be away from you). 2) You agree to be friends with her in hopes that she will want you back. And you be her emotional support on the phone or in person. 3) You keep chasing her, wanting her back. Weakness. 4) When she contacts you, you're readily available and just text back and forth as friends and don't arrange a meet up. She knows she has you. She loses more respect for you. 5) Her new guys value is extremely high, and he understands woman and does everything right (very rare) 6) Your relationship wasn't long enough to form an emotional bond. She was never in love with you. 7) You never had sex with her 8) You ignore her when she reaches out hoping this will make her miss you more Basically, if a woman is reaching out to you after the break up, new guy or not. You have a shot at reattracting her because she still has some level of respect and feelings towards you. If you screw up, or keep screwing up, she then dissapears for good, as she then loses all respect for you or see's the new guy as the better option, falls in love, then moves on. There are times when the new guy will screw up more than you did. She will then reach out, giving you the opportunity to look like the better option IF she still has some level of feelings towards you. If these ex girlfriends of yours were ever in love with you, then trust me, you had a chance at reattracting them. In some cases though the girl will move on, that relationship ends and they reach out. An ex contacted me last month when her relationship with the guy she met after me ended after 2 years! (she called off their wedding) Added me on facebook and i made a date. It's all about doing the right things, but most importantly, avoiding doing the wrong things.

Well, I've always done the no contact strategy even before I knew it was an actual rule in relationship break ups and when they reached out, we just talked and I never ever bring up getting back together or anything about my feelings, but they were pretty secured with the new guy and there was nothing there to discuss or fight for. My Wife at the time was one of my ex's but we were still legally married and she was 540 miles away at her new boyfriends house, so there was no way I was gonna ask her out, nor was I asking out the other two also. Sounds like you've watched some Corey Wayne video's as well, I do all that but I just believe that an ex has to earn the privilige to be asked out again and you have to make them do all the contacting from that, but essentially once they go and take up with another guy, the bond is broken for good and you can't bullshit yourself into thinking that this is a girl that can be trusted or be dependable for future consideration as a partner, they're OUT in my opinion cause I did take one back after being with another guy for 2 months, then she broke up with me again 13 months later and that was the end, so I've learned lessons and walk away completely and never looked back.

Rock N - The only time a girl is out is when she cheats on you. If she dumps us and later moves on, that's our fault for not being the best version of ourselves. The girl reaching out is her doing enough work. Most girls arent going to ask you out in fear of rejection if she later regrets dumping you. I agree with you that they should earn you back. They do that by reaching out, and coming over to your place, successfully hanging out, having sex, etc. They treat you right, then earn another chance, but you still have to be the man and ask them out, unless you've already tried twice. Although i'd only do it once personally. The fact that your ex was reaching out whether she was talking about getting back together or not communicates she was thinking about you, and was a little confused. Women do not contact men or ex lovers they have no interest in. In that situation i would have told her to contact me if things don't work out, and if i'm still single then maybe we can have a drink. Then got off the phone. It communicates you're busy, scarce, confident, indifferent, and that you have emotional strength. But you know your situation, so it was what it was. I'm just saying there are specific ways to handle the situation. The wrong move can fuck it up.

yeah… i just think he wanted her more than our 2 and a half year relationship. he seems just fine and happy with her. people said he felt guilty for a little while but apparently he didn’t feel guilty enough to be able to stay with her after being with me for so long. it’s ridiculous and shocking to me that he was able to do that to me so easily like i meant nothing to him. we have so much history that he just threw away for her. we were each others first long term relationships and he just gave up so easily. i miss him so much and i don’t know what to do

Did you do it? My ex told me last night that her new guy who she had been talking to for the past 2 months long distance, he asked her to be his girlfriend and she said yes. He is more committed than her, and she is just happy to be going with the flow with no expectations or baggage and "seeing if this is what we truly want"... 24th December she literally told me "I wish I could give you all the love in the world, my John" .. days before that same kinda thing loving messages, she was even worried I would lose feelings for her and made me promise I wouldn't.. she was sad and worried about it.. but a little over 2 months later, they are in a relationship as she caught feels for him last summer and when she ended it at end of Dec, he told her he liked her and she said she felt the same... she said our thing was too unstable in her mind for her and she needs to start a new chapter... She said they had been acting like they were in a relationship anyway for the past 2 months, so directly after she ended things with me, and a couple of days after she would tell me how much she loves me, how no one gets her like I do, and knows her Like I do etc... just very weird and seems like a rebound for sure, but I dont know... she seems very happy :/
