I’ve not got one but I keep looking and thinking about getting one. As for storing the pressure lid, I’ve seen a silicone “thingy” that sits on the fryer lid so the pressure lid then sit on top. Obviously can’t do this when either lid is hot. But you still have problem of where to put pressure lid when using fryer lid.
@lucykop3 жыл бұрын
I had the silicone ring and you can put the lid on when it's hot cos it's silicone but obviously drain all the water off first lol. I found this ring not sturdy enough so the lid wobbles so for me it could be dangerous. I bought the bracket you attach into the right side handle and the pc lid sits in it. Perfectly stable and safe and you don't have to remove when using the pot for sauteing or using the crisping lid. I would advise putting a small dish under it to catch any water when you take the pc lid off and place it straight away in the holder.

It must be different in each part of the world but ninja products i buy here in Arizona all come with great recipe books. Instant pot products are made fun of for having literally no recipes or setup guide in their box. Also the instant duo crisp came out after the ninja foodi. The original instant pot came out before ninja but that did not have the ability to air fry. Anyways great vid! I switched to ninja foodi once a third party company created a stainless steel inner pot for the cooker. It really has changed the way i cook for the better.

Thanks, Nishi for making this video. It was helpful and informative! Anybody who dislikes it or feels the need to make rude comments can make their own video. Cooking and cooking equipment videos where everything is perfect and everything comes out perfect the first time are rarely helpful. But I understand because I would not pick it for myself. The small rack a little picky for me you came up with a good example how to use it better. The upper lid maybe not so strong on how you hate it because a good thing, you did come up with how you disinfectant it, I like that also. All I saying is hate is a strong word maybe wish it had this instead of that. But over all some good information.😊 Think you.

The reason that the Ninja Foodi Air Crisper lid is attached is that it contains a heating element. It gets up to 400 degrees, so you don't want to lay it down on your counter or handle it a lot. The Instant Pot Air Fryer lid is separate, and it comes with a heatproof trivet to set it down on. If you're as clumsy as I am, I'd miss the trivet, and then would charr my countertop.
@NishiV13 жыл бұрын

By 400 degrees, I take it you mean 400F? Which is about 205C. The instant pot gets up to 232C/450F I don't care about the delay timer, though. My mum has the instantpot primarily because she wanted an air fryer and I said well why not get an instant pot instead . I'm probably just gonna get a normal metal pressure cooker, to pop on the gas, especially given that I already have a Thermomix

Just about to upgrade to the 9-1 from my original one I’ve had for 2 years. Currently £175 on Amazon bargain tbh ans can’t wait. Don’t want to sound to critical here on your video as I love watching all ninja ones. But I have to say 90% of your listed problems are tbh your problem. I mean buying a red one, and but I g the top. Best storage lid tip,I’ve done forever. Close air fry lid, place pressure lid on top 🤷♂️ It literally sits on there perfect. I’ll watch more of your stuff, as I love my ninja, being a single man living alone I found it an essential item. One thing I do agree on 100% first users do struggle with getting things just right, and I was the same, but now I love it, there’s still things I’ve tried and just given up, sauté, baking, are no goes for me. But pressure cooking meat to air crisp is literally worth what you pay alone.

Few suggestions: buy an air fryer that pulls out or get a step stool if you would like to see into the top while cooking; close the lid before storing it; the features you love in a different air fryer shouldn’t have anything to do with the 9 reasons you hate the Ninja Foodi. Not necessarily true - a 'tefal pan' is the same as any other branded pan, therefore doesn't require a dedicated recipe book. The Ninja foodi is a unique machine which can be hard for first time users to get to grips with, particularly those who rely on recipe books. Not everyone owns a pressure cooker or slow cooker prior to buying one of these

WOW, I watched this with my mouth open and wondered what planet you were on, 1. There are dozens of cookbooks available, just check Amazon. 2. I've had my 9-in-1 just over a month and started off putting my pressure lid on a glass worktop saver. Then we bought the silicone ring for the top of the crisper lid to store it which I found quite dangerous if you knock it doing other things and you still have to store it when using the crisper lid. Now we've got the bracket that fits into the right hand ninja handle and you slot the pc lid in so very easy when you take off after use and a tip is put a small container underneath to catch the drips. Our lid stays in the bracket all the time and we find it doesn't interfere with cooking or the crisper lid. I am just 5ft so unless I pull the machine to the edge of my worktop I can't reach or see anything lol.

Have a look into other multicookers that have a powerful motor and blade. They're not cheap, however they're incredibly space efficient. If you've got either a Thermomix or a cheaper alternative, and a pressure cooker (either this, an instant pot or a metal one), you've drastically cut down on the amount of stuff you need in the kitchen The upshot of reducing all your equipment however, is that they come with a massive upfront cost. I'd love to get rid of a microwave, in favour of an oven that can also microwave, and maybe even toast but from what I've seen, those products don't have much capacity which somewhat defeats the purpose a bit

The shopping channels regularly have the Ninja Foodi on sale and they have a smaller 5 qt. I got the 6.5 that is 11 in 1 and just paid $40 a month for 5 months. It was the only way I could afford something so expensive. It was worth every penny. I no longer use my stove or oven at all. It is big but SO convenient and fun to cook and experiment with. I sous vide my steaks now and they are SO perfect I never go out to eat because mine are better.

@@lyricberlin I’ve been really thinking about it again to save on energy bills recently tbh. But I’m not sure, I’d have to compare and contrast the different types. I miss watching Nishi’s content I hope she puts something on KZbin soon….?

I'm going to be super honest here and critical about your video. A lot of the reasons you mentioned in which you do not like are not actual reasons. The only exception is the lack of the Delay Timer feature but that shouldn't be something to be nitpicky about. It is a air fryer + pressure cooker combo so obviously it is going to be a bit bigger and will take kitchen space. So you should already know ahead and make plans where you want to put it. Saying that there are no recipes for it is not true. Does not take much effort to do a KZbin Search with the word Ninja pressure cooker and or air fryer you'll get lots of results. Also my model did came with a recipe cook book which is weird that you didn't get from yours. In sum, I understand that you still feel that the reasons you mentioned are valid but I just wish you could have maybe sat down a bit further before posting the video to see if some the reasons you mentioned are worth it for anyone wanting a Ninja Air Fryer Combo and only then you'd cut few things off and keeping the ones that have more value of a reason.

Some people like having a heads up before they buy things. That’s who this video is for. There are probably hundreds of videos that talk about how great the product is. Maybe those videos would be better.

Trying to finish this... but the color and the lid hits the cabinets? Seriously? Now... not being tall enough??? Ugh... hard pass. Extremely unhelpful.

There are a lot of recipes on the Ninja website. This video wasn’t very helpful.

As an American male , let me say, with that accent and cutie pie smile, if you wanted to cook in some red stilettos to overcome your "vertical challenges" and better blend with your cooker's color scheme, I think a number of us would be on board for it. wink, wink. (my lame attempt at being "cheeky") Thanks for making the content. I'm trying to decide if I need one of these and all input helps. I follow recipes like I am building a chest of drawers or duplicating an experiment to harness Hydrogen from water, so it seemed obvious to me that conventional recipes are not going to work in this device. Thank you for being very plain on that point and it tells me that I will need to look at more folks that are doing YT cooking videos with them, to at least get off to a start. I do like to experiment with cooking as well, but I also gotta eat, in the mean time. One thing I need clarity on, when you say "cooker", are you referring to what we call the "stove top" here in the US? If that's the case, it really isn't fair to call the plastic "cheap". The burners on your cooker and on the inside of your oven can reach reach 870 degrees C when they are glowing red. There are no plastics in the world that won't melt or break down at 350 degrees C. Really enjoyed your video and did I hit the like button.
