I agree with the hard lessons learned. I'll add that a good look at all the things I did right and the things I knew from growing up that I did do when I was young that helped me today. Imparting both to our kids is important. Thank you!

Thank you Chris for your videos! I particularly enjoyed this one bc at 62 yrs young, I have regretted not using the advise you just spoke about. In my soul searching time, you hit on every point that I regret not doing in my youth. But, I also say, it is never to late!

Chris, I hope you're doing well. Of course the gratuitous 'thank you for your selfless sacrifices for this country.' I sincerely mean that. I understand what generally military personnel go through and especially special ops guys. I noticed near the end, you, me and countless others say toomerik. Referring of course to turmeric. And supposedly that's how it's meant to be pronounced. Ter Mer Ik. All flowing as one word though. But I'm not changing and you shouldn't either. Coming back the next morning: Due to your list, I reached out to my oldest friend I met in 5th grade. We even both wound up working for the same well-known major company. But as individuals we went our own ways.

Funny I have a powder blend of cacao/turmeric/black pepper that I put in my coffee every day too haha. Look into Chaga brother Chris! It probably grows in the woods by your house if you’re still in WI

Great advice! BUT, I think the real question here is: how do we get these points across to our younger selfs? I think even when I was young, I heard and actually sought out such advice, but it either didn't make sense to me at the time or I just ignored it because I thought I knew better. I think some things unfortunately can only be cemented into someone's mind with experience and age. It's a fallacy of the human existence unfortunately. "If I only knew back then what I know now", but it's almost like the brain is locked out of understanding the wisdom of the elders.
