I can’t lick the shakes. It’s not a problem when I shoot a bow, I’m rock solid. I shoot my bow a lot less and literally make better groups than with a rifle off hand. It doesn’t happen with a handgun, small, big, heavy, light. I can shoot it. Put a 10/22 in my hands, I’m suddenly a shaky old man. Bump it up to my AR-10, and suddenly I have to question what I’ve been doing on the range all these years… i genuinely feel stuck, and so embarrassed. I keep watching my friends improve more and more every year and I just can’t. I do use caffeine daily. 400mg every morning. I used to be on a whole myriad of stimulant adhd meds, and caffeine is not only the most effective for me so far, it also has the least side effects and is available otc for pennies on the dollar compared to the black label drugs. I don’t think it’s responsible for my problem, both because of the quantities I use, and the fact that it doesn’t affect my archery or pistol shooting. I’m an average strength guy, but I form concrete for a living, and swing an 8lb single jack all day. I know I’ve got strong arms and good grip strength. Could it be my stance? The way I’m gripping my fore end? Does anyone have some advice for me?

6:24 pm can't wait until I get to go target practicing again. You're video makes sense why I couldn't be close to what I was aiming @ and being consistent. Thanks

Is there anything one can do, if eye dominance jumps for split-seconds while tracking moving targets? I am right eye dominant and neither distance nor light seem to change that, but if I track a moving target, or focus on a static one over a prolonged period, it happens that my dominance jumps just for a split second, disturbing my focus and vision.

Will the time come to where the sniper will have computer assisted sighting? Like the smart phone, which has enough capability to compare it with the old mainframe computer using cards for programming as I remember them?

That’s exactly how I do it. At first, I used to turn my head to the right so my left eye was aligned with the sights. A random guy at the range approached me and said, why just drive your firearm a bit to the left and align your firearm with your left eye and worked perfectly. Of course you need to practice because at first was a bit awkward.

This is great! Never too late to continue to learn. I was told that my front sights need to be even height as my back ones and once the front is completely even with the back ones ( they will become blurry ) equal light - equal sight or something to that effect. For me it’s still a little difficult, simply because once my eyes get adjusted and my front sights are even with the back ones ( it feels like I’m going to shoot low. I try and practice this daily. I wish I had some land to go practice on vs going to an indoor range

Amazing what you think you know but don't know. I was taught to look at the front sight. No one ever told me to focus. I was focusing on the target and the front sight was 2nd. Never have been super accurate so I can't wait to go try this at the range.

You teach to focus on the front sight when shooting so why is your example photo showing two guns? Its two targets you see with both eyes on the front sight. Is this an old video before you started teaching front sight focus?? Very confusing!

As i have been trained before, a guy taught me to point the target but not aim the target. To squeeze the trigger but not pulling the trigger. Following your instinct of muscle memory by lots of practice. That makes you are able to hold your pistol a perfectly straight line directly to the target where you point at.

CBD Oil; drugs😂 Good Lord! It’s made from the stems of a male plant! Back in the day, I was a smoker. The female plant was where it was at. And the stems! Smokers remove. Why? Because you don’t get high on them! Chris, I know you will, but keep moving in the same direction. Some of us get it.

Does keyholing mean something different in the navy? I was Army infantry. We were taught that keyholing is when projectiles become unstable in flight and tumble hitting the target sideways and leaving an elongated penetration that actually kind of resembles a keyhole.
