10. Swearing. 11. Racist undertones. 12. Rude manners. 13. Treating some people as inferior. 14. Arguing over politics 15. Arguing over religious views. 16. Not speaking the other persons "language" is a major turn off. Example: in some cultures direct eye contact is disrespectful and challenging the person in authority. .. Its important to be sensitive to differences in how people are raised. I really appreciate that you gave HONEST reasons that turn off customers.
@fishhuntadventure3 жыл бұрын
@@barbieskates540 do people actually do these in a sales call? They are all subjective- I’d like to think most people are smarter than that. And subjective from two perspectives, like what the heck is ‘racist undertones?’ I’ve had people go off on me just cuz I’m white! Things happen and you can’t control what other people are predisposed to think, can’t control other people. Patrick’s list was all about controlling oneself, not worrying about random wildcards.

Kudos for addressing the "overweight" issue! PC culture has made it impossible to point out a simple fact: fat may be beautiful to some - that's a subjective measure - but fat is never healthy and speaks volumes about a person.

Studying at university, 22 years old, I lost over 5kg in a month, kg of fat, not just weight while gained a lot of muscles. I was searching for any part time jobs, even promotions, for 2 months, didnt find anything, after a month break, which I spent on the gym, changing myself, boom, in a week got a part time job. From today will work 5pm to 12 am, then will reach home by 3 am, then uni in the morning))) Going crazy) But then all I am saying is the relationship between weight, activeness and success. Thank you man :)

The information in this video is accurate. It is not to be construed as 'bashing" or "putting someone down". Simply... put yourself in the shoes of your potential customer. What ever the reasons, the outcome from these 9 points is primarily negative. It doesn't have to be "Fair" or "Nice", it's just the way people perceive others, especially those who are in sales, (product or services). Honest information. And I agree that 'cursing', is not an acceptable practice in business either. Great Video!

it is and i can tell it from experience. i was going to the gym when i was younger, and working out cost energy but it also gives tons of energy, now as i am now, basicaly fat unhealty and depressed, i am low on energy, to fix that i need to work out again, and there is the problem, due to feeling low on energy you don't have the feeling to go working out at all. it is very interessting for me to see how it works, how your body screams it out to lose weight to be more healty and to work out more, and how the mind is fighting it as if it puts you into some kinda of wintersleep just like, just be patience and it will be fine. we all know it won't, and i gonna change my life that is a promise i made to myself and pat.

You at also incorrect about the weight. I had gastric bypass surgery and suffer from major depressive disorder and it has been treatment resistant until we found a combo of 2 meds that took away the depression. I gained 100 pounds did not change my eating routine because I can't overeat because of the gastric bypass. I just started a new med and have lost 18 pounds. I know people prejudge both my husband and myself. But we just hold our heads high work hard and both work in sales. I earned 5 free cars in one business, he is starting to earn more than he has in years. But we still do not have the money for his teeth work. From the car wreck I have to have 3 implants, insurance pays nothing, 4 crowns on front teeth. Insurance pays for 2. We are 53 and 54. A major health crisis like the cancer I had and him being downsized from a Bell South job at the same time and then I had a surgery that has only been performed one time. Emergency surgery I almost died. You talk about medical bills. Thanks for hearing me out. I understand and like your video but I just hate that I know people like you are judging me and my husband. But the best we can do is take one step forward a day. Our 19 year old daughter needs braces on her teeth. And we all need glasses. Its one thing after another. But I can tell you even though I probably could get disability I don't. I have continued to work through everything because had too. I messed up with the promises thing. I told my client I’d get something done on a Thursday but I did it the next day. I’m not gonna let that happen again and this video was a good reminder.

You nailed it on every single one of those. My father is a successful entrepreneur. He used to preach to us about some of the same things you mentioned and he was also very blunt about it.

That part about weight? Damn true. I experienced the same thing before when I was 300 lbs. Good thing my brother pushed me a year ago to start working out. Proper blood flow is key to maximizing your daily energy. I start to feel sick if I don't workout for two days straight. To think I'm only 26 years old.

I always know I needed to lose 20 lbs. I think I needed to hear that again from someone who has the business mindset and explains things it in detail why

I am a recently subscriber of your work and I hardly keep up covering the older videos. This one I watched twicely because you remind me of one or two things I must adjust immediately... I also sent it to others which may be in the same situation...you may have new subscribers, Patrick! Good job and don't stop at 1 million!

I can't tell you how many times people complained to me about my old boss smelling like cigarettes when I worked at a small clothing store. Thank you for the video !

Such truth. I've not done business with someone due to body odour. Couldn't introduce my customers to him. Great content, thank you.

I am working on my venture and I am the thinking guy in the team and the other mates are great developers and I need the business and the sales skills. I have been the laziest part of the team and now I regret it, you just made me redefine my lifestyle Patrik thanks for your this great video of yours.

Solid advice Pat. May I add, when it comes to weight issues and the lacking of discipline, which I totally agree with you on this subject, but speaking as a thin guy, when I eat irresponsibly and I allow my body to be super toxic to the point I am dragging butt just to make it to the end of the day also tells me that I lack discipline. So thank you for the truth, even though it hurts sometimes.
