Fun video! I have the 2016 RX350, and it looks like you kept the features that I love in it. I especially like the feature that opens the hatch when I place my hand above the emblem. I also love the lane change blind spot alert and the alert for cross traffic when I back out of the driveway. Keep up the great work, Lexus!

Bought my 2017 RX350 based on Brock’s review. Love it. It now has 50k but still looks as new as the day we bought it. The RX isn’t cheap, but worth every penny. Plan on keeping this vehicle for a long time. Thanks again, Brock...

HowToCarGuy ..... Whatever suits you Brock. You can't suit everyone on youtube. Stick to what you feel comfortable with and whichever style you enjoy doing. Just one thing I personally would enjoy is if you talked a bit more about the engine (mpg, hp, torque, cylinders) and did a bit more of driving the cars👌🏻

Wow you really got me with that voice feature!😮 I believed it because I wouldn't put it past Lexus to install such a feature simply because they are the ultimate when it comes to features in a luxury vehicle. Which option package do you need for the Rear Emblem tailgate opening feature? I have an F Sport 2020 and I does not appear to work.

Now on that note.. Sadly my decision is completed and I will not buy a Lexus RX. To my great disappointment the seats are very uncomfortable (sport and non sport) The highlander seats are way superior. After 1/2 of drive I had lower back pain to the point where I wanted to go back to the garage. If you have discussions with Lexus rep, please ask them to fix this. Hopefully will see Lexus in 2019 if its a redesign year.

I was surprised to find a setting to turn off the eco mode. I had hoped that I could dial it to eco mode on using the dial - but no luck. Does the eco dial do anything? My 2017 goes in and out of eco automatically. Normal mode must be automatic also as pushing the dial down doesn’t drop out of eco mode. The sport mode works as expected via the dial.

#2 Touch-Free power rear door - you forgot to mention the key must be within 2.5 feet of the tailgate for the touch-free function to work.

Hey Brock, important question. I was told by my local Lexus dealer that the 2016 RX 350 does NOT stop if there is a object in its way although it does have sensors that will beep. I dont agree with this, I was under the impression that the 2017 and 2016 are exactly the same with just a few minor touches. Can you verify this for me. Will the Lexus RX 350 2016 model stop if a person or object is in the way either reversing or going forward at a medium speed. Please let me know. Working on deciding which year to get.

I didn't know that I could cover my emblem to open the back door of mu 2017 RX 350. I have a question that I was wondering if you could help me with. Something is rolling from right to left and left to right above and behind my head when I turn. Have you heard of this before?

Yes the voice activation was a winner, the double painted windows and sliding your hands over the rear door emblem to open it was surprising but helpful

I saw a video of the new RX450h and saw a remote fuel filler door unlock button contained in the buttons to the left of the steering wheel (where the HUD, heating steering wheel, etc... buttons are). Is it different in the 450h?

Great observation! You are correct. Due to the pressurization of the Hybrid system, it is necessary in some situations to have the door closed for a few seconds prior to opening the fuel filler cap. Thank you for the contribution. Brock

I just installed my new iPhone/Lexus app to enable the voice-activated doors. It is really so kool when my hands are full. The only down side is that it unlocks all the doors instead of just the driver's door. Maybe the next version will permit me to select which door unlocks and will even have the selected door swing open for me.
