LOCO JAZZ a young man in my former congregation was offered a full scholarship because of a talent at golf. The elders came by....convinced him it was too much of a time commitment. I was one of JW. I fell away in 1983. In 2017 I was going to return. I have 5 grown children that also grew up being JW but no longer are affliated. 1 daughter who became what I call a 'Jesus worshiper' begged me to first do my research on JW. So that is when my journey began. Well I did find a lot of inconsistances in the JWs but then I took it further and that is when I found out what I believe is the REAL truth about the bible and Christianity. My journey lasted about 4-5 yrs. I am now an Athiest! I do not believe the Bible is the word of God.....I do not even believe we were created by God! I am very happy with what and how I believe. The 1 thing that always bothered me in life was how if there is this Amazing loving God.....how could he allow innocent children to suffer without food and many die! I couldn't pray and worship him for just that reason I hate it when I hear ppl say...."My god is s good god....I just got approved for a new house or new car!" Wow....you really think he answered your prayer but totally disregarded a mothers prayer to help her feed her children? GTHOH!!! I respect others beliefs and its okay. I love all of my kids and they love and respect me!!!

Do you believe that you are eternal? There are these incidents related by many surgeons and nurses about patients who were being resuscitated or being operated on in the hospital, and yet when they woke up ,they were able to relate to doctors and nurses what was being done to them in detail during surgical operation and during resuscitation. They claimed to have separated from their body and were actually watching their physical body on the operating table while in mid air. Considering that they are heavily sedated, sleeping while on the operating table, there is no way they can discuss with clarity the detailed procedures done to them. There are even those who were able to relate the conversation that went on between doctors and nurses during the operation.

Your hateful spewing and lying only lead me to believe that this attitude has been present in you for a long time. That is evident in how you speak,act and what you say . Maybe that is why you were looked at differently. The fact that you were "discouraged from pursuing any form of higher education" is YOUR experience. Not mine, or my brothers (who starts college this fall, and was never discouraged) our countless others. If you felt discouraged those are YOUR feelings. It doesn't make it fact for everyone. Thought they would have taught you some sense in college. The only thing discouraging me from going to college is you because it's evident that they are producing morons. 1:20 Logically, I would have thought that the Jehovah's Witness would have taken a cue from the Jews on the matter of blood transfusions, since they were the ones who wrote and compiled the Old Testament to begin with, but I guess logic doesn't always have a place in religion.

She even got her kids, my cousins, to take part in shunning me when I was going through a very difficult time in my life and I needed their help. My JW dad is not particularly happy his sister is shunning me, but because he’s so brainwashed, he sees it as her right as a Jehovah’s Witness. Jehovah’s Witnesses preach more hate than they do love. Their belief system is based on fear and paranoia. They are among the most superstitious people in the world yet they look down on other people who are superstitious. Hypocrites. 👎

I was a Jehovah's Witness for many years, so please allow me to clarify #1 a bit. In 1945, the application of the doctrine on blood was expanded to prohibit blood transfusions of whole blood, whether allogeneic or autologous, but did not introduce "punishment" for the procedure until 1961. In 1956, they stated that even accepting blood fractions was against scripture. In 2000 they stated " Members are instructed to personally decide if accepting a fraction would violate the doctrine on blood". Currently their stance on the matter is non-acceptance of the four major components in blood (red cells, white cells, platelets and plasma) and fractions such as albumin, immunoglobulins and hemophiliac preparations are "not absolutely prohibited" and a matter of personal choice. As a man that was forced to wear a "no blood" bracelet as a child and lost the person he loved the most as a martyr to this "religion", I can't help but find their evolving stance on blood to be a bit ironic as their scripture hasn't changed. What has changed?

The people are nice people, but the structure of the organization is a cult. It's a high control environment that people are indoctrinated to fall in line with whatever the Governing Body tells them, they cannot question anything the Governing Body says, to do so will see them labeled as an apostate and most likely be disfellowshipped and shunned. This is cult practice 101, control information and banish dissenters. Scientology and Mormonism are likewise cults and practice such behaviors. Do your research. Yes again, the people within the organization are truly nice people to talk to, but their thoughts have been captivated by a cult and are held captive to the ever changing belief structure under the guise of "New Light."

I have a teacher who's a Jehovah's Witness. He's a perfectly normal guy and doesn't preach to us or anything, but after watching that cheap animated short about the little boy who's forced to throw away an action figure he loved just because it's based off a character that goes against what his religion says, sometimes I wonder if my teacher ever missed out on anything he really wanted to do when he was little, like go out for Halloween or have a birthday party, just because his religion wouldn't allow him to and I feel a little sad.

Hi Hement. Interesting video, but I feel like a couple of points need to be clarified or touched on. Btw, I'm a "cultural Catholic", mainly agnostic with atheistic suspicions. However, my wife is a practicing JW, and despite the obvious incongruities, we've managed to make it work for over a decade and with five young children. :) I believe this is a genuine and good-faith effort at pointing out some of the aspects of the religion, so in that spirit I've got a couple responses. 1. No blood transfusionsDoctrinally, I think this is pretty loopy (and scripturally shaky), but you're right- my wife is willing to go down with this ship if it ever came to it. BUT here's the interesting part. Partially as a consequence, medical science has made advances in developing bloodless surgery, or using blood reclaimed from the patient. And it's worth noting that blood transfusions are not without some risks of their own. When we've had to go to the hospital for births, etc, the staff is very aware of these medical concerns and alternatives, so it's not really as far-fetched as it might seem. 2. DisfellowshippingYour choice of wording here is inadvertently misleading (you repeatedly emphasize "ever"). In fact, you can be reinstated in good standing if you have sufficiently repented of your transgression. It's only "for ever" if that doesn't happen. I'm not a huge fan of this either, but I do understand that it's not a recourse of first resort, and "tough love" is not without merit. Part of the motive here is to protect others in the congregation from being "stumbled," or tempted/misled into sinful conduct. In that way, it's at least consistent with other "fundamentalist" religions that seek to kind of save people from themselves by introducing social barriers (think Islamic clothing for women, for instance). 3. Eschatologic thinkingYup, right there with you Hement. Looking past some of the more incredulous aspects here, though (such as predicting the year of the end of the world, the 144,000 faithful and discrete slaves serving as some sort of celestial bureaucracy while the rest of us jump out of our coffins here on earth)... it's really not all that much "stranger" than things like Rapture and transubstantiation. I know it's easy to make JW's look like kooks, but I think that's just a matter of perspective. My wife thinks that grain-paste wafers magically turning into the flesh of Jesus Christ is a bit off, too. :D 4-5. Birthdays and holidays. Nothing much to add, you've got the right of it. In our house, I do celebrate holidays, but tone it down a little bit on the overt displays as a willing compromise with my wife. Never had a problem with the elders or congregation as a result of our mixed marriage, so there's that. One small point of correction- the JW's don't frown on Christmas because it's "Jesus's birthday," but rather because it's a pagan holiday "re-branded" into Christianity. Like any fundamentalist faith, such things tend to be viewed as perversions of the faith and better avoided. 6. "Seven Dudes" in BethelThis is true. It's also true that the Catholic faith is governed by One Dude in the Vatican, so... *shrug emoji*7. No higher educationHonestly, I've never heard that- but I've also never heard that the opposite is true either. Good to know, because our kids will absolutely have the option of college, and I'm very encouraging for them to challenge themselves, their assumptions, and beliefs. You don't NEED to go to college for that, but... it certainly doesn't hurt. (Now student loans, on the other hand...) 8. The Pledge protestsGood on you for providing a little balance here, with something very positive. I can certainly appreciate that the JW's commitment to serving God makes them averse to such things as the pledge, flag worship, and excessive patriotism, all quasi-religious stuff I have an equally skeptical view towards for different reasons. ("Think for yourself, schmuck!")9. Resources for ex-JW's No concerns here. Now here's the thing for me... Yes, I find that this religion doesn't speak to me like it does my wife, and I'm okay with that. And that's mainly for one major reason- JW's are some of the kindest, most genuinely decent people I've met. Their services and talks are gentle, even meek. The talk may be a little out there sometimes, but I can't fault the walk. If one of the aims of Christianity is to follow the example of Jesus Christ, the Witnesses as a whole are closer to that than any Christian group I've experienced in so many ways. Were the whole of society really did break down someday, I can think of a lot worse places to be than amongst the Witnesses. Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk. :)

You'd better go here jwfacts.com than listening to your wife. I'm sorry this sounds rude, but trust me, that cult does anything they can to hide their past and even call "apostasy" to have in your hand old material they themselves have made which contradicts what they say with the following revisions, and how self defeating is the "new light" doctrine. The truth is always the same, you can't just "understand it" and then "understand it more so it's the polar oposite". you say? Well, science doesn't claim to be either an organition, ideology or whatever, just a practical study and methodology. And science rejects gods, since magic is not real.

My great-aunt was a Jehovah's Witness member. Her side of the family converted with her, and they managed to cause a division with the rest of us. It saddened my grandmother (her sister) greatly. So, for years we did not associate with them because any time we were around them after they first joined, they could not resist their witnessing, They were quite insistent and it came to the point where we just stopped seeing them because they would not get off their platform. The last time I saw my great-aunt was at my grandfather's funeral. She came to the funeral home, but her husband remained in the car, as he had Alzheimer's Disease and he wouldn't have known any of us. It was a very strange period. It was like our friendship with them was taken from us, but it was a very important lesson: to avoid that cult!

Do you believe that you are eternal? There are these incidents related by many surgeons and nurses about patients who were being resuscitated or being operated on in the hospital, and yet when they woke up ,they were able to relate to doctors and nurses what was being done to them in detail during surgical operation and during resuscitation. They claimed to have separated from their body and were actually watching their physical body on the operating table. Considering that they are heavily sedated, sleeping while on the operating table, there is no way they can discuss with clarity the detailed procedures done to them. There are even those who were able to relate the conversation that went on between doctors and nurses during the operation.

Also, did you know that the name "Jehovah" is literally made up by a Catholic priest who wanted to mix Yahweh with Elohim and Adonai? Also, did you know that Yahweh had Asherah as his wife and was only the patron god of the Hebrews and that Judaism was copied from Zoroastrianism to the point that second part of Isaiah was written during the time with Cyrus and was not written by Isaiah itself, being that NOT a prophecy? That "paradise" comes from the Persian 'pairaidaēza'? That Zoroastrianism before the Hebrews where a sedentary ethnicity, Zoroastrianism was already portraying Ahura Mazda as the omnipotent, benevolent, omnicreator of our planet, that had a rival called Angra Manyu, and that the Isaiah's prophecy for ther Messiah was taken from the Zoroastrian one?

My little cousin was diagnosed with leukemia. His parents were Jehovah’s witnesses. He needed a major surgery, and his parents refused a blood transfusion for him. The doctors made it clear that his chances of survival were slim without a transfusion. They still insisted that he could not have one. Since he was 2 years old at the time, he was considered a ward of the state and his parents’ decision was overruled. The doctors gave him a transfusion to save his life. Had it been up to his parents, he would have died on the operating table. Amidst all this, I remember his parents being worried about their fate if the elders found out about the transfusion. Those people are absolutely brainwashed. Things like that should be a crime.

Vandalay Industries Did you ever read what Jesus said will happen within family because of his name. In other words what he represented truth. His teachings. He said the enemy is from your own household. A Christ.follower that want to obey out of love for God and Jesus, will face test of faith. Love Jesus more to obey or give him up for family. Than you not worthy of him, Jesus said We must obey God rather than man. We cannot allow our family member who chose to be DF to now break our integrity. Satan is working to get as many spiritually weak JW. Who are you blaming. The family member who want to be faithful. Or Jesus. Jesus said pick up your torture stake and follow him. What does this mean to you? The other family member is DF because no remorse. "Do not be misled, Bad association spoil useful habit". "A little leaven ferments the whole lump" Family member(s) in good standing is a member of the congregation. It can affect THEM and the congregation. Don't you know what the bible teaches. What kind of elder were you. Bad association spoil useful habits. God is Holy, and his congregation must be clean. Jesus is head of God's congregation, after all God chose each one,,except for those that were born in the truth. They are under the parents. But when they are of age Will God choose you, keep you? Or will he weed you out. He know us. We can fool man but not God. Shunning is better than making all the sacrifices that were required under law. DF for fornication and adultery is better than the death sentence. No need shunning there just put them to death. End all the whining. They probably whine over that too.. How ungrateful these ones are. God's mercy gave us his only begotten son, underserving as we are, so that we may have a chance of a better life under his kingdom rule. The sacrifice of Jesus, God's mercy extended to us. His punishment for wrong doing is light. Now sins deserving of death, repentance is all he wants. But if unrepentant DF /Shunning is the punishment. The choice that one made. You get to live to see another day, and you can decide when you are ready to repent I don't understand the whining over what the unrepentant one bought upon themselves. So ungrateful some are. Selfish. Look what happened to Judas Iscariot. Lived a double life. Betray Jesus over 30 pieces of silver for innocent blood.Judas was dismissed by Jesus. He was no part of the newly instituted last supper, the taking of the wine and unleaven bread. Judas felt pain at heart because he realized that he betrayed innocent blood not that he lost his position in the kingdom, than he committed suicide. Do you blame Jesus for Judas suicide? Jesus just removed him from his discipleship. His calling to the heavenly kingdom he lost. The chosen position by God.

Hold up...First i thought this guy had a point....Then he seemed to get really salty on stuff so now he just sounds bitter...Then he said they dont celebrate Christmas because its Jesus' birthday....That is wrong. Christmas is not Jesus' birthday and they know that. I've spoken to them and there reason for not celebrating it is because of Pegan origin, not because of a birthday. Any idiot who actually does research can find out Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus. Your credibility is going down my friend, i would do some more research. Not just on this religion, but on pretty much everything you're saying.

roger schmidt. Jesus is a Jew, born under law. Jews did not celebrate birthdays. The Jewish celebrations were stated in the law. No birthday celebrations under the law. Some Christians celebrate his birthday, but it is not scriptural. Do your research. We do. Educate yourself. Hate is stifling, though.

roger schmidt. Making much ado about nothing?. You need to do research. Christians ought to know it is pagan. The Sun God Mithras birthday on Dec 25.was used because of pagan converts to Christianity. The Roman Catholic Church allowed their birthday celebration of their Sun God Mithras, along with Jesus. Than the Catholic Church used the symbol of the sun in their cathedrals. The cross has the symbol of the sun behind of it a radiance around Jesus. In their cathedrals. You should have remain a JWS. YOU would have your facts straight. You flying by the seat of your pants right now. Half truths or none. Do your homework.

You are in denial about your prejudices and bias mentality towards JW. You are coming from a place of contempt. You cannot be reasoned with. You are an unreasonable person on a mission to libel JW. Do you truly believe that Jesus will accept you as one of his disciples no matter what denomination you belong to. There is always two sides of any argument. You present one side only. Do you understand the reason why you take that position. Be honest with me.
@ritarita9750
@ritarita9750 6 жыл бұрын
roger schmidt Much ado about nothing? Worshipping in spirit and truth is 'making much ado about nothing'? Are you kidding? Scripture say "Make sure of all things, hold fast to what is fine? Another thing, Jesus said that his followers are no part of the world, as he is no part of the world. Christmas, and Birthdays are of the world. Birthdays were never celebrated by the first century Christians or the Nation of Israel under law. Yet, birthday celebrations has been around long before Jesus was born. First birthday recorded, was celebrated by the Pharoah of Egypt during the time of Joseph, son of Jacob. True Christians strive to "worship in spirit and truth" because God is looking for such like ones, whose heart is desiring to do so. Jesus prayed to his Father concerning such like ones, "Sanctify them by means of truth. Your word is truth" Do you know what this means? Do you not know what the scripture says? It says, "It is God's will that all come to an accurate knowledge of truth" These ones who seek the accurate knowledge of truth in line with Gods will, will be sanctified by means of that truth, God's truth which is his word contained in the Bible. Though it is Gods will that all have the accurate knowledge of truth, many will not have the accurate knowledge of truth because of their heart condition. God will give them over to their hearts desire whether good or bad. If you do not desire truth, so be it. Free will prevails. He will not force his will on you, For those who desire to know truth, these ones he sanctify with the truth. Set them apart from all others by means of the accurate knowledge of HIS truth. You don't know the heart of 8million+ JW only God knows, but you judge them daily. Direct your hate to the specific individuals, if you must hate, but do not include the entire congregation of JW. BTW, those JW that are DF, can be reinstated only when they make the decision to return with a repentant remorseful heart. DF is a result of their choosing. Now it is left up to their choosing to return or not. If they want to find fault, who can stop them. It is what it is, discipline. Bad association spoils useful habits the Bible says. Shepherds of the flock have the responsibility to keep such elements out. Because disfellowshipped ones will attempt to influence others to leave. Scripture says, "Do not be misled, Bad association spoils useful habits". Also, "A little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough" Shepherds must be aware of such elements, as to protect the rest of the sheep. So if you want to find fault. Find fault with God because he has not changed his ways concerning things that are unclean. His righteousness require that we seek it and keep it. If one does not want to keep it, then they will be removed (by God) or they will remove themselves willingly. You will see by their behavior henceforth why they were removed (by.God) From the heart the mouth speaks. That is what defiles a man.

So much wrong here. I guess if God hasn't changed, we should be stoning disrespectful children, and going to war with opposing ideologies? Of course God has changed how he has done things. But JW's have no "accurate knowledge of truth" and their Christian freedom has been stripped from them. Now its "Listen, Obey, and be blessed". No room for thinking, or discussion. Just do what you are told from the current incarnation of the governing body, with what they currently teach (subject to change in the future) and if you don't then we will contractually obligate all of your friends and family to shun you just like Mormons, scientologists, and the Amish do. Its such a joke.

@definitivamenteno-malo7919
@definitivamenteno-malo7919 3 жыл бұрын
@@fireballdude7368 First of all, the Bible isn't true. Evolution is. Can prove it. Multiple times. The Bible..oof... It even contradicts itself many times, and the god portrayed has maaaaaany contradictions and is sooooooo in common of the core beliefs of the Hebrews during the alleged times, like Yahweh being antropomorphic like the ancient semitic gods in which Yahweh shares a pantheon with Molech or Baal and even had Asherah as his wife, but Hebrews had it as his patron god, and gradually became a monolatric religion (Satan is not portrayed as the devil, but as ANOTHER GOD), and then it became monotheistic with the evil good duality under the empire of Cyrus, wich inspired the writers of the second part of Isaiah (oh, yeah, sorry, Isaiah is a compendium, it doesn't have any fullfiled prophecies) to make also the promised Messiah.. very copyed from Zoroastrianism, with Ahura Mazda as the only god that made all and has all virtues, the Angra Mayu being the father of lies and oppositor, the promise of a saviour born from a Virgin (Actually meaning a young lady, and even in the genealogy of Jesus they make the stumbling of claiming who was Joseph's ancestry... Why would a virgin born boy need the ancestry of a man? Think about it). Also, speaking of Jesus, a character which we have not a single evidence and only claims (and the Bible is not an evidence but a claim), and the most simmilar historical evidences are either forgeries from the IV/V century, or texts that basically claims "yeah, there's some dudes that call themselves "christians" and that follow a magic dude called "the Crhist". The Noah's flood was copied from the Epic of Gilgamesh and the only simmilar thing in common with reality was that a Mesopotamic king/chieftain was in a wicker boat with some animals crossing the river and suddenly a tsunami fucked up all the territory being him one of the survivors, but also being the event that destroyed his civilisation... leading to multiple legends... And not a global thing by any means. Also, it's a blatant lie that there's a global myth of a flood, since curiously, the territories where floods were common, don't have a relatable myth of a flood. Floods were real and dangerous, so there was no fairy tale to joke about it. Also, there're no kangaroos neither fossil neither alive, outside of Australia, if not by the contemporary actons of mankind. Meaning: No. global. flood. happened. ever. No one is going to die in Armaggedon. The most simmilar thing that may happen, is the human extinction thanks to capitalist and accelerationist evangelical nuts, that are masturbating to the idea of a nuclear global war, and the climate colapse. Also, the Bible has NEVER described the world as a globe. And NO. A "circle" doesn't mean "an sphere". The Hebrews had words for it, but "coincidentally" never used when describing the Earth. They just described it, as most of the people in their surroundings believe it was: a flat disc, with a crystal-like dome, where the stars where fixed, the Sun and Moon orbits and are smaller than the Earth, and that the Space, was primordial water. Don't you remember the Primordial Waters in the Bible, "brother"? Remember why the Bible so explicitely talks about "opening windows" so the water falls from heaven? Of course you do... The Genesis is meant to be read literally, being "metaphorically readen" just a poor excuse, to make it seems that it doesn't contradict reality. Also, the sky or heaven is called "firmament", and the hebrew word for it, "Rāqîa", which derives from the root raqqəʿ (רָקַע), meaning "to beat or spread out thinly", like the process of making a dish by hammering thin a lump of metal. This is why is translated as "firmament", sharing a root with "FIRM", which means "SOLID". Or how about "The Earth is suspended in nothing"? Do you know what "suspended" means? It means "STOPPED", "HANDLED", like "being suspended in a thread" kind of thing. The Bible hasn't described the space nor the planet in any way that is demonstrated as we knew, unlike Greek phylosophers like Pythagoras hypothesized, and was followed by many others and even Eratosthenes measured it's circumference with a goddam stick and the cast of it's shadow in to very distant places, making it a very aproximately number of what we know it's today. And they were all pagans. Also, the first time making could clearly see the sphere of the planet, it was a soviet Cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, quoting as the legend sais about him: "I see no god up here". An atheist. Also, if you could read the Bible as intended, you would know that the second comming of Jesus was meant to be during the time of the Romans, but of course, so we can have this fucking cult called Christianity around, everytime the Bible is wrong, then it's "a metaphore" and all the FAILED prophecies are using the ad hoc of "no, no, it's FOR THE FUTURE!"... Being the perfect tool to control the status quo, since Jesus was an asshole that defended slavery, and wasn't even aware when figs were on season. But of course, you Christians will crey "noooo! it's a metaphor and a predictioooooooon! buaaaaaaaaaah!". Think just a little. If the Goberning Body held the truth, they wouldn't command you to not look away.

I'm a Jehovah's witness and I've never been so miserable in my life. I grew up Catholic all my life until I was about 13 yrs old then all of a sudden my mom decided to switch religions. I have been going to their meetings for about a year now and I still don't seem to find a way to be comfortable going there. I've tried telling my mom that I don't like this religion but she says I don't have a say in it because I'm not 18 yet. I don't think that's fair. Yes I do love god, but I wouldn't go as far as not giving blood to one of my family members and letting them die. I could not live with that type of guilt. My life was so much better before I was forced to accept this religion. Also the fact that, this religion is so sexist. I just wish my Mom would understand. I only know when thing: Whenever I move out of my Mom's I will never step a foot in a Jehovah's witness Church

Food FROM God or Satan? Bible truth vs JW's error filled "truth"? "Jehovah's Witnesses, in their eagerness for Jesus' second coming, *have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect."* Awake 1993 Mar 22 page4 *Jehovah’s Witnesses have had wrong expectations about when the end would come.* Jan 1, 2013 Watchtower (Yes, expectations with false dates!) "Does this admission of making mistakes stamp them [Jehovah's Witnesses] as false prophets? Not at all, for false prophets do not admit to making mistakes." Watchtower, Nov. 1, 1972, page 644 - in brackets added (any scriptures for this "admitting to mistakes" means they aren't false teachings, false prophecies?) Admitting to making false prophecies doesn't magically change them, they are still Bible defined false prophecies (Deut 18:20-22) Very poor reasoning, probably why JWs "suggested dates" and went beyond and added to scripture. "suggested dates, wrong expectations" in God's name? yes, these ARE false prophecies from the Jehovah Witness Organization. God's channel of communications, his voice on earth, God's mouthpiece, JWs? Nope, just a false religion! "Jehovah's Witnesses, in their eagerness for Jesus' second coming, *have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect."* (Awake 1993 Mar 22 page4) *Jehovah’s Witnesses have had wrong expectations about when the end would come.* (Jan 1, 2013 Watchtower) God's channel of communications, his voice on earth, God's mouthpiece, JWs? I remember my grandma on my dad's side would always send bible stories and etc. This is the one time I'm happy my parents didn't care about me - they wanted me to be quiet and play video games to stay out of the way. And for every bible book thrown at me there was a scientific book thrown at me too. It was really weird when my father tried to convert me to be a JW after my mother (a Catholic. Yeah it was a weird growing up) got sick. I remember when my birthday came and my dad was just like 🤷 He didn't care and he also hid behind his JW beliefs. I'm so happy he failed to convert me. Most Witness parents will not force their children into not going to university/ college (as I am going to University next year I can attest to this) or not accepting blood transfusions. Of course there are always exceptions in everything in life. Plus these days there are alternatives to blood transfusions, such as blood extenders. My dad has been in two situations in his life were doctors said he would die if he didn't accept a transfusion, obviously, he survived. Another thing I need to say is that my mum was disfellowshipped and I have never I will never kick my mum out of my life for that. It is an individuals choice on how to handle such things. Also, many holidays such as Christmas and Easter have pagan origins. Easter used to be this type of celebration for Ishtar who was an Assyrian and Babylonian fertility goddess who's symbols were the bunny and the egg. All holidays we do not celebrate have pagan origins which is why we do not celebrate them.

Instead of saying Jehovah, just say Jupiter or Zeus, after all, they are the same. Jupiter above the equinoxes (spring-summer) is the good Jupiter Olympus or the one who gives/the breasted ram. But come the "fall' of the sun below the equinoxes (fall-winter) he becomes Jupiter Stygus the "bad" lord who takes (consumes products of spring-summer). During his sojourn into "Hell" (sun below equinoxes) he is the Jealous God who does all kinds of bad things. Remember the Jesus (aka Jupiter) who comes out of his bedchamber (sun below the equinoxes) wearing paps (tittys).

Great video thanks for sharing. Just a couple things I wanted to mention. First off, I was raised as a JW until I left the faith about age 16 and I live in the UK. There may be slight differences in the way the JW message is conveyed and so this may account for what I'm about to say versus what was said in the video. Blood transfusions: The bible actually advises that any spilt blood should be poured out on the ground, it's not the eating part causing confusion it's the idea that ANY blood leaving the body is considered "spilt" and therefore should be discarded. This does of course preclude storing blood for a transfusion! Celebrating Xmas: No, not because it's Jesus' Birthday, JW's do not believe that Jesus was born on that date or even that time of year, it's a pagan celebration adopted by christianity. That is their sticking point. Easter, yeah pagan again, a quick Google will explain that easily enough. Now, don't get me wrong, it's batsh!t crazy I know it, you know it, but here's something for you to understand too. JW's do not believe that they will go to heaven, save a predefined number which, statistically you are unlikely to be part of. They do however, believe in resurrection after Armageddon has come and wiped out everyone else, a resurrection giving them opportunity to live forever in paradise conditions on Earth, (AKA "The New System"). They believe this so firmly that it's worth dying faithfully, not having a transfusion, than to take a transfusion, live a few short years and die forever. It doesn't make sense to most people but it does help to understand the psyche of JW's knowing this. It explains why they so fervently knock on doors, why they tolerate persecution by state and other religions and try and guard themselves from "The World", (AKA "The Old System"), that we, as non-JW's, are part of.

Neil Elliott right :) i was also brought up as a Jw ,after my cousin died they really pushed me to be spiritual and i did ( i even knocked on doors), in fact i left college for a semester , but when i went back to college i finally got out of the religion.. How ...? well because I finally learned to think for myself.

Neil Elliott I was raised JW in the US. You are right about what you said. The Christmas and Halloween and all that isn't celebrated because they evolved from pagan believes adopted by Christians over hundreds of years, Same with Easter. They also only believe 144,000 of their believers go to heaven with the rest going to the NEW SYSTEM (Paradise Earth), which is a remade earth where everyone gets along including the animals, that lambs play with lions and all that stupid crap. I had some friends there when I was a JW and all the ones I grew up with became athiest, one was labeled an apostate, and one took their own life because of her family forcing her to be a JW. How can a religion so recently developed (1800's) be the correct religion? It seems that if any religion was true it would be the oldest found on earth. The first deity that people seemed to worship was a large fertility goddess that was drawn in caves by early humans. It WAS NOT a god, but a goddess. I don't believe there is anything, I was just making a point. Also they don't use crosses in their religion because they beleive the cross is Idolatry (Basically worshipping an Idea instead of god or Jesus. Secondly, Charles T. Russell who founded the Jehovah's Witnesses, was a con artist in his time. He simply developed his religion during the seventh day Adventist movement and used it to gain money. And there were dates than the three that were mentioned in the video that the JW's thought would be Armageddon, There were a few in the 30's 40's and 50's all the way up to the 70's. They are a cult, like any other religion.

Where in the bible do it say 12/25 or Christmas is Jesus birthday? where is the word Christmas in the bible? I got time ill wait. In fact the bible tells you not to celebrate pagan Christmas Jeremiah 10:2-5. A Christian or any other religion has no real knowledge of scripture and people shouldn't learn from them. The devil cant teach you about God he isn't fit enough. All calender holidays are Pegan except Passover. The bible has its own holidays in it but They don't keep those either.

Thank you for program! Excellent job. Factually true in every respect. I would know. In WT ministry 25 years - full time at one time. Please my WT friends: millions of us have left. governing body members have left. Officials have left. Don't you owe it to yourself to find out why life long JW abandon the cult ? A vast apostate army has possession of facts we wish to share. Otherwise during office hours I am willing to help as deprogrammer on sliding scale basis. Please contact if you wish to get information. What you do with it is up to you. It your life. George.

Stephanie Dryers you seriously believe that a god up above put a bunch of old white men to be in control of you and you will fall from grace if you celebrate Christmas or keep a wind chime (yes wind chimes are forbidden don't believe me look it up). also if you question anything the organization tells you then you are wrong and will have to be counseled by an elder and possibly face disfellowshiping. I promise that everything that man has said has been something that has come up in conversation with my boyfriends family. it's hard. I don't even know if my future children will have there grandparents at there birthday or if they will have any memories other than them constantly trying to convert them. and it is set up in a way that if you do question anything and you get disfellowshiped you lose your ability to talk to your family and friends and they hang it over your head until they can scare you with enough talk of the end of the world theyve been predicting for like 100 years that you return

fact is that if you have faith you know that even if you die you may get a reserrection if you stay loyal in faith to God. Fear is not a good advisor : why fear death? our daily text today Thursday, October 6 Why should you be afraid of a mortal man who will die and of a son of man who will wither like green grass?-Isa. 51:12. Faith in Jehovah will help you to conquer your fears. If powerful officials try to restrict your freedom to worship God, it may seem that your life, welfare, and future are in human hands. You might even wonder if it is wise to continue serving Jehovah and angering the authorities. Remember: The antidote to fear of man is faith in God. (Prov. 29:25) Focus your attention on your almighty Father. He sees, empathizes with, and acts in behalf of those who suffer under unjust rulers. (Ex. 3:7-10) Even if you must defend your faith before powerful officials, “do not become anxious about how or what you are to speak, for what you are to speak will be given you in that hour.” (Matt. 10:18-20) Human rulers and government officials are no match for Jehovah. By strengthening your faith now, you can come to see Jehovah as a real Person who is eager to help you. w14 4/15 2:8, 9

is it that difficult to accept for you that you come with that silly comparasing? YOU blame the witnesses for not accepting bloodtransfusion and they ACCEPT that perhaps they may die. Meanwhile thousands of persons have died and gotten ill by accepting blood meanwhile expecting that they would be cured. How's that false promis? And it is a habit to give blood after bloodloss and not always necasary. Having faith is important : you only live for this life and for millions and millions this will be of no hope for the die and will die in this violent world : God promises a new heaven and a new earth and a RESURRECTION for those putting their faith in Him. Now you have decided that there is no God but here is why i believe: My eyesight , my hearing , my tasting and eating , my feeling etc my brain etc my bloodflow my digestion food , my breathing etc : all these qualities that accept as being here by evolution : NO they are created by a loving and very brilliant CREATOR. and all those qualities you inherited from your parents that caused your life by passing it through by a very tiny cell that had all these qualities combined in the DNA. No your faith is much bigger than mine : your just gambling on your gut feeling and not on intelligent thinking. You exist ; why cant you believe that God exists? That is thinking that you are more important than God. And the history of the bible that you ignore explains what happened since creation . Still you are here enjoying all gifts that God gave without being grateful.

Well you will never know if these persons would have died eventually : we know blood is essential for life but so is Gods aproval . When he says : Every moving animal that is alive may serve as food for YOU.+ As in the case of green vegetation, I do give it all to YOU.+ 4 Only flesh with its soul*+-its blood+-YOU must not eat.+ than he means it and you will say that this does not include human blood but i think if God rejects the taking in of animal blood MEANWHILE ALLOWING US TO KILL ANIMALS , than you may ask yourself : would he be meaning human blood as well (knowing that he thinks more of human life than of animal life) Leviticus 3:17 17 “‘It is a statute to time indefinite for YOUR generations, in all YOUR dwelling places: YOU must not eat any fat or any blood at all.’” Leviticus 7:26 26 “‘And YOU must not eat any blood in any places where YOU dwell, whether that of fowl or that of beast. Leviticus 17:13 13 “‘As for any man of the sons of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst who in hunting catches a wild beast or a fowl that may be eaten, he must in that case pour its blood out and cover it with dust. Deuteronomy 12:16 16 Only the blood YOU must not eat. On the earth you should pour it out as water. Deuteronomy 12:23 23 Simply be firmly resolved not to eat the blood, because the blood is the soul and you must not eat the soul with the flesh. Acts 15:20 20 but to write them to abstain from things polluted by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. Acts 15:29 29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!” Acts 21:25 25 As for the believers from among the nations, we have sent out, rendering our decision that they should keep themselves from what is sacrificed to idols as well as from blood and what is strangled and from fornication.” genesis 9 says :And, besides that, YOUR blood of YOUR souls* shall I ask back. From the hand of every living creature shall I ask it back; and from the hand of man,* from the hand of each one* who is his brother, shall I ask back the soul* of man.+ 6 Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed,+ for in God’s image he made man. 7 And as for YOU men, be fruitful and become many, make the earth swarm with YOU and become many in it. God does not say that you only trespassed his command WHEN YOU KILL an animal ; he says: Leviticus 17:10 10 “‘As for any man of the house of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst who eats any sort of blood, I shall certainly set my face against the soul that is eating the blood, and I shall indeed cut him off from among his people. so it is with human blood : even when no one would have to die for it we are not allow to eat it or to take it as a transfusion : why not ? Leviticus 17:11 11 For the soul of the flesh is in the blood, and I myself have put it upon the altar for YOU to make atonement for YOUR souls, because it is the blood that makes atonement by the soul [in it]. Leviticus 17:14 14 For the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood by the soul in it. Consequently I said to the sons of Israel: “YOU must not eat the blood of any sort of flesh, because the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood. Anyone eating it will be cut off.” deut 12: 23 Simply be firmly resolved not to eat the blood,+ because the blood is the soul+ and you must not eat the soul with the flesh. simply one would use the soul or life of another person if one would take the blood and what would God do? And, besides that, YOUR blood of YOUR souls* shall I ask back. From the hand of every living creature shall I ask it back; and from the hand of man,* from the hand of each one* who is his brother, shall I ask back the soul* of man.+ 6 Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed,+ for in God’s image he made man. Taking the blood is as shedding ones blood.

Hey pizza. Nope.....you cannot. In fact, the chances of getting HIV are only 1 in 2.1 Million donors. Blood isn't dangerous. Its just another medical intervention that has its risks. But I bet its way more risky if you get your leg ripped off in a car accident to refuse blood you have lost, than it is to get some sort of complication from it. Thousands of JW's have died over this.....and it isn't even biblical my man. Also......nobody outside the ark survived. JW's clearly teach you have to be with them when Armageddon comes or you are going to die. "An even greater mistake would be to allow the faults of others to stumble us and cause us to leave Jehovah's organisation. Were that to happen, we would lose not only the privilege of doing God's will but also the hope of life in God's new world." Watchtower 2016 Jun study ed pp.25-26 During the final period of the ancient world that perished in the Flood, Noah was a faithful preacher of righteousness. (2 Peter 2:5) In these last days of the present system of things, Jehovah's people are making known Gods righteous standards and are declaring good news about the possibility of surviving into the new world. (2 Peter 3:9-13) Just as Noah and his God-fearing family were preserved in the ark, survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovah's universal organization." Watchtower 2006 May 15 p.22 "Are You Prepared for Survival?"

I'm an XJW myself, and know about much of the things you mentioned, and I wanted to correct something that was stated regarding the holidays. The primary reasons they do not celebrate the Christian holidays is due to the Pagan roots from which they were adopted.ex:Christmas. Other than that, everything else was pretty spot on - although much was left out, most likely due to time constraints.

Now I minimally keep up with a very few of them, but there is no basis for strong and enduring friendships with any of them.
