Watching at 3 AM. Just discovered your videos. I’ve been living on my own now for a few months after 12 year in relationships with covert Narc . Recently went no contact and the sleep problem has hit me hard 🤦‍♀️ I know I will recover though. Thank you so much, your are amazing 🙏

I live at the beach and I have started sitting on the beach at sunset at least every other day and it’s calmed me down tremendously. I’ve been doing this for about a month. Since it’s past the crazy tourist season I have really enjoyed being on the beach alone.

Exercise works for me instead of meditation. I've never managed to meditate successfully; but, low-impact exercises put me in the same zone. Sitting in nature is really great, too! You're right!

Thank you so much, Debbie. I am an Empath currently experiencing very gradual recovery from a severe 5 year entanglement with a Cluster B narcissist. I find that the Universe is providing gentle remedies to facilitate my journey back to well being in perfect and precise order through such things as synchronistic nudges and healing videos, such as yours, coming up on my KZbin recommended vids. Thank you again 😊

GOSH this is great! Caregiving 2 older folks with cognitive impairment, stress & hurry were consuming my life. Deliberate slowness, writing, sweat sessions, cold water & bare feet on earth were solutions that came to me this year also, out of the noosphere i guess, & here they are, so well articulated, among other ideas. Felt happy just listening to this. Your kindness, realism, humble goodwill & humor are good medicine for all of us.

Thank you Debbie, this video in addition to your previous one, 15 symptoms of CPTSD. In the reactions of that video there was a person who noted your 15 symptoms in the reactions. Which I found helpful. So here are the 9 ways to relieve symptoms given by Debbie Mirza: 1. E.F.T. tapping 2. Move slowly 3. Journal - writing 4. Meditation - affirmations 5. "Sit-spot" - Go into and enjoy nature, barefoot if possible 6. Yoga - restorative, or other types 7. Somatic Experiencing Approach; Dr. Peter Levine 8. Exercise - sweat; get it physically out of your body 9. T.R.E. Trauma Release Exercises Now depending on how you got your PTSD one might also try: 10 Sauna (Finnish or Indian sweat-hut types) - aromatherapy and all the other ways one might think off that release anxiety and stress. As long as it doesn't harm others or yourself. Heal yourself, don't ever lose your own autonomy or responsibility. Blessed be

May I suggest..what has helped me...a relationship with the real God...u don’t need a church or a group..u don’t need a priest or pastor...when u talk to Him, do it in ur thoughts if u want and like ur talking to ur best friend...closest friend ever. I broke the ego...and that helped me a lot as well...it helps u see so much clearly and it helps keep from feeling the rejection people so generously dish out...when u realize that you are not a problem or need fixing...that what u get from people is their projections of what they dislike about themselves or their need to fill their own emptiness..it makes the big people seem more like what they are..small weak and desperate. When I feel alone or missing the ability to trust etc...I’ll ask for reassurance that I’m not going through this all for nothing..that there’s a reason for it...to help fix something somewhere..a purpose...I start finding heart shaped rocks and hearts in the clouds etc or a feather out of nowhere...that’s Him telling me He’s with me and yes there’s a reason for everything..I’m loved even with my flaws..and this isn’t what we meant for...we are meant for a much better place and this is our time waiting or sleeping...

Interjection @ 4:20......That "going slow" thing you talk about is spot on. I moved to another country to separate my traumitized mind and body from all things that were stressing me out in my homeland. I saw people around me and just how relaxed they were in their day to day lives. I wanted that badly. So I started imitating them by literally moving....slower.....And it WORKS! It calms me down. Please know that this part is soooo true. Ok, now back to the video. 😘

@@debbiemirza1744 Thanks for the response. I moved to Turkey. It's not what all the hyped propaganda makes it out to be. Many Americans and Europeans retire here because everything is so cheap if you have a US dollar or Euro income. I'm in the west (Gemlik, just south of Istanbul). There are no political problems here; that's all on the east side. I had a few Turkish friends in Houston and had aleady vacationed here 2 times when I fell in love. A Turkish friend of mine knew that I would rather be homeless in Turkey than to spend any more time in the US, so she contacted some of extended family and they took me in. İn time, she found a more relaxed and peaceful place for me to stay and I ended up married to my friend's cousin. I am happier now than I have ever been in my entire life. İt's the life I never thought I would ever see while still alive. I live, but have found heaven. The culture is almost opposite of America and very hard to get used to, and as "showing love" is nothing like state side, people are very responsible to their fellow humans here and families are tight and very extended and very close. If anyone gets wind of someone being sick, you end up with 20 visitors, soup in hand. I am not kidding. Plus you ask anyone for help and they don't even ask for what, they just drop what they're doing and t your service. I'm an extreme introvert and my new family has slowly learned this, so I am left to my own devices and all the dreaded visiting stopped. 😁 But if I picked up the phone to call anyone for help, I would have 100 people on my doorstep in 15 minutes 🧡 Sorry, I rambled. I would like to inform that since being here, I had my very first flashbacks. I had 3 or 4. But then they stopped. I cannot remember anything from childhood up to around 14 yrs of age, and I have always had nightmares my whole life. About a year ago all the nightmares completely stopped. Completely. I still have anxiety and nervous disorders (I have never been diagnosed with anything, but I have all the symptoms you describe). But I am on the road to recovery, if that's even possible at the age of 52. Thank you for your video. It helps. Much love coming to you on the four winds from Turkey. 🥰

I've enjoyed many videos learning about narcissism and appreciate them all. But for whatever reason, your videos seem to be the most straight-forward, easy to follow and even calming. I've done a lot of research myself and it can get a little overwhelming. You narrowed the list down and explained it well, which is needed when you're experiencing complex PTSD. I know not everyone likes that label and I can see how accepting a label could potentially keep you in victim mode. But for me, after spending so many years just wanting to be better yet choosing to not give myself the time and space to heal, acknowledging the issue is step one. When I do, then I decide to actually do the self-care, to acknowledge that this is a need of mine. I stop beating myself up for needing more alone time to de-stress than most people. Ideally, I would meet my personal needs without questioning why I am more sensitive to stress. If we are being true to ourselves, then it shouldn't matter why. It shouldn't matter why I am different than most. And I could just honor me. Well, as I move toward that, it helps me to remember that I've been through a lot and most of it unacknowledged by anyone that it was even abuse. So then you just feel like "I'm a loser". NO, stop that. You're healing. You're getting stronger. And peace returns.

Interesting...I was always a journal writer, but it became so difficult to even try to write. These suggestions seem like they’d be helpful. At this point in my life, I am not only trying to get a handle on my own issues, but am living in Italy and taking care of a sick spouse, hence, my life continues to be pretty frustrating. I have no friends here... just his family, and I really can’t speak Italian very well. My only son and his family live in Georgia, so I am missing them. We came here post- retirement, and I knew it’d be challenging before I got here. My husband’s illness happened here, so add that to the ptsd I had before arriving, and I have been on on freakin’ rollercoaster ride ! I want to feel better... it’s been brutal. Thanks for your videos. God bless you.

I find that if I do things like cleaning, or journaling, I get really upset. I move towards sedating thigs like tv, movies, youtube, baths; to sort of escape...contending with trauma. Because if I don't, if I allow myself to become upset, I spiral into depression, and my life gets turned upsidedown.

Trauma Release Exercises WORKS! If you have CPTSD please try to find someone to help you do this or take a class, it has been the number one thing that helped me right away and I was surprised how much I have shook, I only needed to take a couple classes, then I did it on my own, my body even started to do it on it's own at night when I'd go to sleep once I was away from the abuser. It would be fully body and it didn't scare me because I knew it was healing. My brain is so much better - not 100% yet, but getting there. I am so grateful for videos like this. Thank you.

Number 9: Dr. David Berceli (he has a Ph.D., not an M.D.) wrote a book, _The Revolutionary Trauma Release Process_. He invented this process; I just finished reading this book 2 days ago! 💝 I’ve done the exercises twice now, and it’s amazing how much calmer overall I feel. He has helped people who live in violent areas of the world release traumas from their bodies with this technique: think Palestinians; think soldiers coming home from Afghanistan; think child soldiers in Africa. I really recommend this book! “Tapping” is also very helpful. 👍

You're awesome Debbie, I really wish we were friends. I've watched now both your videos and I have subscribed to you channel now. I have extensive deep seated CPTSD going back to 0 years old and I'm almost 50 now and still dealing with this. I've tried a few of the things you mentioned as well as things my therapist recommends and I've been struggling to get much relief. I now started doing EMDR in therapy and this makes me hopeful that little by little this may be working. It extremely difficult the to revisiting every incident that's happened and you feel like you're there all over again. It puts me down for 2 days sometimes because of that but it refrains the brain to not obsess over a horrible though and how to your calm place or safe place. Im sure you know all this, I apologize. Just a suggestion if you want to mention that to people you help. I love the way you talk, you're spook real and come across that way, and you're absolutely beautiful as well so I'll be watching more videos, I'm really glad I found you!!

HAHA 🤣 THAT WAS FUNNY I GAVE BRAIN FOG BIG TIME WIH MY RSD LOL!! Thank you for sharing all these Help Videos I’m on my own and disabled and I believe my husband is a Narcissist and I know my mother is and I was her co-dependent!! I in the last 6 years of a 28 year marriage Have a adult child with a mouth on him that won’t quit I believe he’s covert due to the fact He kept it all in to himself until 10 years ago my step dad died my Mom moved in I still didn’t know what she was until 3 years ago I learned my mother was a Narcissist I believe she also was a covert being in the nursing home she’s showed me a side of her I’ve never saw before and she was driving me crazier than usual and I couldn’t again please her for the life of me At the age of 52 I prayed to God to tell me what was wrong with her I saw Inner Integrations the next day!! When I started learning and reading and sharing with my husband I believe I brought him out thinking I know Mom is a Narcissist I truly believed dropped his face with Me whenI shared my information with him of what I was learning this was 3 years ago!! He’s been a Man that has made Me not only do I want to run out the door and can’t He’s also changing in so many ways TV had to be turned off and now he just sits in the couch with his phone just like he did the TV It’s heart wrenching some of the things he’s said too Me We are in major debt financially and have a home I’m lost as to how to leave in Texas his debts are my debts too!! The more I’m learning we have to get out quietly If that’s the case I have to ruin my Credit?? Where will I live with bad credit?? There’s days it’s tolerable then there’s days I cry 😭 and cry 😭 till I sleep!! I have RSD and I truly think some of it didn’t help with my Mother at the time also the surgeon did a great number on my hand So it’s been a long road of Trauma his whole family was trauma and so was mine when I turned 52 I woke up and have had enough Can’t figure out how to leave He can’t even support his self with his job as he feels that’s all he can get Is it possible that he was a co-dependent and then as time when on and I was able to find things out about his family from his sisters after his parents died 2012-2013 He turned on Me like a Wolf and there’s days I just feed him and live in my room when he’s home!! Any help would be great 👍 I have your book and Dr. Ramani’s Book Should I Stat it should I go I feel like using every minute of everyday to feed myself Information on Don’t React Respond I’m just floors at knowing I spent my life with I believe 2 Covert Narcissist I am grey rock with my Mom He got worse this year as I went no contact with my Mom except when I have to care for her I’m the POA of her and the only child that wasn’t adopted out instead she married me out at 15!! Anyway I’m searching for answers and wanting to be by myself just like you said!! Thx for all the information I’m now following you and Inner Integrations and Stephanie Lynn Life Coach love 💕 her Videos too!! Take care Shey

I’ve discovered that stress causes the psyche to file away events that cause u to feel like u did when under the traumatic situations in life to a back file in the mind...it’s almost like a personality detachment...u r able to recall only under a certain frame of mind...the real u has to be buffered from the stress is what ur subconscious mind knows and does...I call it my shadow..when that needs to wake up and handle something then I’m able to recall the things that happened but when that side is awake, it causes the primal stress in us as in fight or flight...I used to hate confrontations or having to recall a situation cuz of this concept..letting emotions break when having to do so and not being able to control it...then I started to work with this state of mind and realized how much it’s needed and accepting it..which leads to more self control when in the state...and the ability to learn why and how to work with it...I used to have a photographic memory but not anymore...I was afraid of stupid things like the mailbox because I had to deal with my ex husbands uncontrollable spending and financial disasters by being punished and working harder and more sacrifice on my end so he could have what he wanted...so just paying my bills and taking care of the after divorce things like bankruptcy was almost impossible...it sucks..but slowly getting better

Number 4, Guided Meditations help me a lot. I use them for positive affirmations, connecting to the inner child, letting go of the past, self-forgiveness, and more. Number 9, the TRE caught my attention. So I searched more about it here on KZbin. I found how to do the exercises and watched a few more videos to get some background knowledge about TRE. Finally I decided it's safe to try it on my own. First it felt a bit weird when the tremor started, because I had to give up control to the body as the tremor is an involuntary process. Usually I'm in control, but when I allowed my body to shake it felt like I'm the passenger and the body is the driver. The tremor comes in waves and it's sometimes even funny to just watch which muscles are moved. It definitely helps me and it's also a good exercise to learn to trust your body.

Since you named *the amygdala* in this video I wanted to point out that the amygdala is considered *the seat of the soul.* If you cut the bain in half; it looks like *the eye of Horus.* [The combination of the hypothalamus and pituitary gland and amygdala, as a whole] psyche aka soul. Just some small titbits I hope people will find interesting, trying to reunite the modern age with more ancient times.

@@LoliChanx3 Nice to know, but you are hopefully always connected with your brain. :D I don't fully understand your point? Maybe you could explain the point your where making with your reaction? I understand them to be references to the eye of Horus! (That's it?)

You'd do better to link these two videos (in the description boxes at least). I watched the other one about the 15 signs, wanted to come here, but had to go to your site and sift through to find that one before I found this one.

V why are we always rushing? It's because the CN is always rushing and rushing us. I always feel like I'm on a timer! So my therapist has told me slowing down is important.

We live worlds apart from each other. My ex will swallow the pill of bitter himself every day of his life. Scandinavia is not a guardian country where everything revolves round male dictatorship. Fathers should not be involved in with the treatment of their kids , especially when they have unsolved anger n wrath issues. Mum took to see to our safety. Unfortunately, she got exhausted . I deny all narc defendants. My f is a psychopath /sociopath /covert narc . On retiring due to his hip implant(s) , my f followed another narc example, n openly bragged about taking up the Rolle of a Narc Imposter . Wrapping up a bank note in newspaper to make his wallet seem thicker. I am innocent . Wish op. The TRUTH shall -n already has - set me free.... NC

Meditation=rumination.
@lauratheexplorer6390

V no, it's meant to be the opposite. Rumination is staying stuck on a topic, whereas meditation is the practice of allowing thoughts to come and go. Letting them pass away without getting tangled up in them.
