@@nanabettyg There's online apps for calculating stair dimensions that you can just punch in the numbers to see what the run length will be... www.calculator.net/stair-calculator.html Then just figure how much space you need for the living space that will have to work around the stairs for how big the whole home has to be for it to work for you. However, if you go big enough then you can just opt to have everything on one level and have a bedroom instead of a loft. Lofts are cheaper and help keep the footprint of the home smaller but they're not your only option... Many of the RJO's, for example, are configured similar to a loft apartment with everything but the bathroom in the main space and the actual loft is just for storage. You can also consider working in a standing platform, these allow you to stand next to the loft and you can configure the loft to be like a bed platform. You just need to configure what's below to be something that doesn't need standing height space. Like storage, maybe a laundry section where you can have side by side washer and dryer units, etc. This will also allow the stairs to be shorter as you won't need them to go up as high... Lots of options, and you can play around with the design to see what works for you...

Thank you for a detail video of the 9x28. Loved the ability to see craftsmanship. Would like details of cost. Randy I had given some negative comments in previous videos. Because they were a entertainment comedy, not professional/imformative. By seeing that I was concerned if I was to hire you to build my home. I understand you need to have balance of things of fun and knowledge. This was the first video of seeing your true desire to build a solid home. Was able to get more details. I agree comedy is important in our current time of stressful lives. Where I was coming from was if I am looking to buy a major investment I wanted to see the videos of education and fun in the mix. When I watch ... give my time of investing in a video. I would hope for knowledge interaction and some comedy. But when it's all comedy entertainment I turn it off. Every one time is important as the next individual. Thank you

I love this home, but I would need more windows. Specifically I want several one-way vertical windows (maybe 30" x 72") where I can see out but no one can see in, so when I'm sitting on my sofa or when on my murphy bed or anywhere in my home, I want to be to have views of the outside. That is huge for me.
