it actually shows nothing. I mean who the hell wouldn´t go and look if he smelled fire in his own house. The alternative would either be doing nothing, which would be absolutely stupid. Or seeing the fire and not saying anything or leaving the house on your own while waiting for your family to burn while you survive. I guess then you really wouldn´t care for your family. As happy as I am for this little dude to sense the fire in the air to get his family out in time. I don´t think that makes him a hero nor is this an indicator if he cares for his family (which I am sure he does anyway!).

I got the cat out, locked him in the car, and tried to go back in to get my coat and boots but it was impossible. I made it half was up the stairs and could see the kitchen was fully engulfed in flames and full of the darkest smoke imaginable. I had just ran through there less than 2 minutes prior. If I hadn't had a cat, I might not have made it out of there. This kid did good, but to anyone else who finds themselves in this situation, close the door so the fire can't spread as quickly.

He did amazing, if anyone who reads this please please please shut the door! Fire chases oxygen and what the door is open a flow path is created which spreads the fire to new fuel. There is a chance that most of this house could have been saved but I don't blame him at all! Little man did amazing!

@Zxian612 жыл бұрын
won’t you then create a backdraft or whatever it’s called
@ChefBuckeye2 жыл бұрын
@@Zxian61 Backdraft happens due to the reintroduction of oxygen after the fire has already consumed the available oxygen. Closing doors increases the risks of backdrafts but of course there's a reason your supposed to check the door knob before opening a door. So while a closed door might seem more dangerous, it actually makes the rooms on the side without the fire safer by slowing the fire down as the fire has to first burn through the door before it can continue into the next room. With today's fires often burning hotter and being around very flammable material, a closed door can make a big difference. Firefighters can then ventilate the room through the top and contain the fire to a smaller area than if the door was open.
