I was just there a few weeks ago visiting from Canada!! So many iconic Volvo’s on display - my favourite was the 1995 850 T5-R in yellow!!

They finally realized plug-in hybrids are the way to go, at least for now. Can't wait to see the new XC60 PHEV in person. I can't quite understand why they decided not to offer the XC40 PHEV anymore. With a better battery, more HP and the new operating system it would be a perfect small SUV.

Yeah, I'm expecting the XC60 gets a equivalent facelift next year 👍 The XC40 Hybrid was actually quite popular here. Despite the lack of AWD. Great car.

Thanks for the coverage and your thoughts! I hear you ask for more EV range in the PHEV. What I want to see more than longer range is more power in full EV mode. And faster charging speed to re-fill that battery when youve used that PHEV ICE goodness on a longer journey and you arrive to a place where you cant charge it over night. I see no reason why the VOLVO PHEVs don't have 7.4kW single phase or 11kW three phase charging already. A more powerful electric motor might lead to a larger battery to support that higher output though.

Yeah, see your point. Volvo have a 6,4kW OBC now, but kinda jealous that the Polestar 1, that's on the same platform, had 50kW DC charging and also significantly bigger battery 😅

Thanks for the nice video. Producing the EX60 in Sweden is not good news for the US market. We will not get the US government subsidy for US produced cars.. Maybe later in S Carolina?

@andredg804 Since Volvo's factory in South Carolina have started up SPA2 production with the EX90, I don't think it's a huge "challenge" for them to also include SPA3 and EX60 in a few years. All that's known now are that it will be produced in Sweden, and EX90 in US.

@@volvo_kristian The EX60 will use mega-castings. I don't think the US factory is set up for megacastings. The Polestar 3 is also made in South Carolina for the US market.

​@benjaminsmith2287 That is correct. I don't know if they eventually will expand to SPA3 with Mega Casting in US as well. Guess it depends on market forces. If it's high demand for EX60 in US, maybe it could make sense to expand. Or maybe Torslanda, Sweden have enough capacity to maintain global deliveries..
