Omfg I remember this game from when I was little. I'll never forget Burr punching the glass and yelling "turn the $%&@ing light on!" at the goal judge.

Great game to highlight why your decision to start including highlights from ties as well as wins was a great choice. What a roller coaster! I remember this game mostly for Marsh's goal. I laughed and laughed at Belfour for giving that one up back when it happened!

yep. And the way players would have to go up and down a big staircase to go from the dressing room to the ice. It was a nice little quirk

The first year I started to get into hockey. It's games like this one that make it hard to not fall in love with hockey.

Wow a Brad Marsh goal!😁 shocked to see him slip in down low like that. That is probably the closest he ever got to an opposing goal in his career Wings were absolutely robbed in the 2nd what an awesome black and blue type game. Physical. Hanlon was old at this point and had a rough start to this one but got better as the game went on The game ended in a tie, but the action was so good...nobody was saying "damn I wish we had a shootout"

A Sunday afternoon tilt, after a Saturday afternoon game against Minnesota. My first year of making highlight tapes. Goal judge screwed the Wings on the (non)Burr goal. Goulet had a rough game, taking sticks to the face from Ysebaert and Primeau. Ahh the good old "Chuck" Norris days......THANKS awood!

A while back I acquired some highlight tapes from the 2001-02 and 1995-96 seasons from another collector, are you the original source for those? I've been hoping to get my hands on more, I have several ideas for future compilation videos.

@@awood40 Probably not. I used to trade games on a video collector site, but it no longer exists. I do know a guy that lives near me in Metro Detroit that has a lot of games. I used to help him out once in a while. I lost a lot of my videotapes from the early 2000 seasons (can't remember exactly the years) in a flood back in 2010. Wish I could pm you, I could get you in touch with my contact. First name is Derek, if you know him. My early highlights were short clips of goals and fights, not as well as how you do it. Unless they were shutout, I put the Wings' goals and fights in their losses on mine. I also volunteered at my local city cable in the early 90s. Was able to make a couple of music videos to fights. One of them was "Enter Sandman" by Metallica,. Misplaced my dvd copy, still have the original 3/4" tape if I could find a place to dub it over. I really wish I would've kept all of my games instead reusing them after taking the highlights out. Tapes weren't cheap back then.

I really appreciate and enjoy all of the work you put in for us Wings' fans. Especially with the 80s and 90s games. Brings back so many fond memories for me. I'm old enough to remember watching Mickey Redmond score his 50th (and 51st) on TV on March 27 1973. Was either a WKBD or HNIC telecast. Now THAT I would love to see again!

I think I know the guy you're talking about, he's reached out to me before. I was born in the early 90s, so obviously I wasn't able to record this stuff myself back then. I've always been really into hockey history, the early/mid 90s is one of my favorite eras to go through, it's cool to hear memories from people who lived it. There will be a lot more on the way from me, my to-do list is practically endless and I'm constantly adding to it. I hear ya on the regrets about reusing tapes, I did the same thing in the 2003-2007 time period before this stuff was easily available on KZbin. It's been a bit of a challenge trying to get some of it back.
