If you get a chance go to Banks Peninsular one day mate, I think I walked ,drove and rode most of it when I was young. Mount Herbert was my back yard growing up.

@@TheAudaciousPath Maybe the walk across the tops, forget the name, pretty cool views and good practice for the north to south walk you were talking about. My wife said hinewai reserve, her dad is part of that and her granddad started the native plant reserve above Akaroa. At my speed one of the pubs sound good too.

are you going to Milford Sound doing a boat tour through the sounds?
@TheAudaciousPath9 ай бұрын
Hehe, I sure did. And it was EPIC. That’s about 4 episodes into the series. I’m trying to pump them out at the same time as launching my KZbin course, so a bit full on. Anything in particular you’re interested in seeing on that journey? 💜

@@TheAudaciousPath the east coast of the South I sland and Lake Tekapau. I did a 3 week trip down south on my own in Dec 2020-Jan 2021, I went Picton-Christchurch-Dunedin-Queenstown-Milford sound. The best part was def Milford sounds, then it was the old buildings in Dunedin. I have some pretty amazing picture memories from it. I love the South Island its' so beautiful. I'm currently on the North Shore Auckland on holiday its beautiful here too. 😃

Maori also have a historical footprint in this country that seems to be neglected in these tourist videos 😅

Indeed, that is true that every settler has had its impact, particularly environmentally. When it is relevant to the storyline, I always try to show the whole truth. I did a video about Captain Cook on a prior channel where this came through the most. Oftentimes, I think humans struggle to digest two seemingly opposing truths, and that is why some is left out. 💜💜💜

@@TheAudaciousPath you said Tekapo just fine. That bloke doesn't know what he is talking about. All you need to do when starting to learn Maori is learn how the vowels are sounded. You got them allmost perfect. It just sounded awkward because you aren't fluid in your delivery of the full word. Plus....most Kiwis (non Maori) never bothered learning Te REO. Well done! Sounded awesome!
