I've seen this speculated with him, and it makes me sad. Especially with how berated he gets for anything he does/doesn't do. I just wish people had more patience. I'm actually an RBT and provide services for kids on the spectrum (usually between ages 4-15). I personally see many indicators of ASD within Asuelo, but it's incredibly unethical to assume at a distance. It's such a *broad* condition. But if the fundamental support and coping mechanisms aren't instilled at a young age, it's unbelievably detrimental to them for the rest of their lives. Even more so if those around them arent able to re-structure the way they interact with the person struggling. Of course he's accountable for his actions, but I can only imagine how much healthier he would be if he'd been helped sooner. IF that's the case obviously, but who knows. I like this show but wish there was some kind of behavioral health/therapy team (even just behind the scenes) around these couples.
