Thanks for the impressions Adam! AlienRides just got their stock of MasterPros so we may be seeing more of these in the wild soon. I'm a heavier rider currently enjoying the EX20 HS and I feel like this Master Pro is the next step up. I was most impressed by the torque. A larger diameter wheel will hurt the torque since it's essentially the same as the motor being in a higher gear, but despite the massive wheel it can still climb insane grades...so I'd probably run out of traction or courage before the wheel runs out of torque. I'm very interested to see what the EX30 can do.
@0xsergy2 жыл бұрын
The torque is also a safety feature. Going 40mph on a wheel that can barely brake is iffy.
@OneWheelMan2 жыл бұрын
@@CrunchyTire I definitely understand the difference there. Kind of like my Mten is very responsive, but the total power isn't that great/you can overtorque or overpower it if you lean too hard. My RS is less responsive, but much more powerful overall than the Mten. I'm sure the Master Pro would be like that compared to my RS, heavier and bigger, but a lot more power once you get going.

Free wheel spin on this is more than 20kph LESS than the V13. The fact that Inmotion has electronic limiting in place on the V13 at 88kph (55mph) means no chance of high speed cutouts due to overpowering. The Master Pro, whilst having the same speed at the beeps, is pushing HARD on its upper limits to reach these speeds. Stay tuned for the cutouts. I like Begode, but they do not seem to care about safety. If in motion wanted the v13 to be easily the fastest wheel ever made, all they would do is take the limiter off and tell everybody to fend for themselves and take their chances with the beeps. That's exactly what Begode does.
@Blox1172 жыл бұрын
i think there should be an option to disable the limit. its your device that you paid 4 and a half thousand dollars for, after all. also, v13 has a poor battery size
@dcarter0012 жыл бұрын
I ride motorcycles, you can twist the throttle until it maxes out. The thing is, you don't because of several factors. Self-preservation being near the top of the list. Given humans need to push the envelope, the beeps tell the prudent human to back off where the " oh! You mean there's more?" well go until something goes south. They do need a horn, which is required for a safety inspection. I think it well pass the braking test, it has lamination and rear lights and brake lights. Personal responsibility, that's the best safety equipment.
@splyce01172 жыл бұрын
There is a reason there is a limiter. Soon as you remove it. Problems will start. They know WHat they are doing . Let's say they did and someone gets hurt. Then people will complain. Because nothing will make this community happy. Smh
@sammysokosammysoko2 жыл бұрын
@@splyce0117 that's exactly my point. That limiter is there because they know that the motor can operate at that speed safely for an extended period of time without risk of cut off because it is so far below the actual threshold of the motor. This is something that should have been done a long time ago on euc's, but because everybody in this community seems to be some kind of a thrill-seeking speed Junkie, we end up with wheels that have no safety features like this built in. And now everyone is going to dis on the v13 because it's a half a mile an hour slower than the master pro, when the v13's motor is actually significantly more powerful than the master pro's. It just has safety features built in to keep idiots from killing themselves as easily. I have ridden motorcycles my entire life, and it's no different than with cars. Obviously you don't drive your car with the pedal to the floor anymore than you drive your motorcycle with the throttle maxed out. The difference with those and a one-wheeled device that relies on a gyroscopic motor to stay upright, is there's no mechanical redundancy by virtue of multiple contact points with the ground. That's why these types of safety features must be built in to Electric unicycles if we want them to ever be able to cross the threshold into something more mainstream, and therefore have mandated safety precautions and regulations taken by the manufacturers. It's what this industry needs, and at least Inmotion is taking steps toward that.
