Another situation that I've used a poppin' frog effectively is in windy conditions blooping the frog. The louder the "bloop," the better.

I have something I'd really like to get your thoughts on - The fish here in the deep south have been in full-blown spawn for a few weeks now. Over the past few days we've had some brutally cold weather that has plummeted the temps down below freezing overnight. Even now there is a hard frost warning until 9 am Monday. Do you think it will have a large negative impact on this year's spawn? I think a lot of the eggs and young fry will be lost. What are your thoughts?
