Newborn Baby Shivers has got to be one of the strangest concepts for a kid's toy. I always wondered what happened to that kid in the Milk commercial once his head turned into a balloon. Does his head deflate and become normal before he goes too high, goes too high and his head pops, leaving him headless, etc.
@BanditGreenGuy4 жыл бұрын
Some say the kid is still rising to this day, although it's because he broke free of the Earth's orbit, not because of his helium-filled head. His momentum will carry him through space until his eventual arrival on another planet, where extraterrestrial lifeforms will build a shrine to the legacy of Milkboy.

Oh, gawd, 1990! That weird period where super old school characters like the Campbells Kids got 'radical' makeovers! 😂

Tiny Toon Adventures aired on the Fox affiliate where I lived so I didn’t know it was syndicated at first. CBS did air the pilot which I remember watching.

The Tiny Toons portion was most likely recorded in early 1991, prior to that show moving to Fox.

Nice to see someone else still has their old episodes of Tiny Toon Adventures with the original commercial bumpers from its old pre-Fox syndicated days aside from me. Also, wow, a Ducktales Movie TV spot! I vividly remembering seeing one on TV at the time (I always remember it showing a clip where Genie makes the sundae and the giant cherry falls on Huey's head) and even seeing the theatrical trailer - in fact, that's how I first learned about the movie. I also remember when the trailer mentioned "Collie Baba" I mistakenly thought it was talking about Bubba Duck. I saw the movie in theaters opening weekend as well. My parents were separated at the time, so I'd spend the weekends at my dad's apartment and head back home on Sundays. So that particular Sunday we met up with my mom and saw the movie at the theater, and then afterward I went back home with her (and where I lived at the time, the closest movie theater was about half an hour's drive away from home.) Also, when that movie came out it would have been just a few weeks after I got my NES for my birthday and I believe after I got the Rescue Rangers and Ducktales games.

Huge fan of DuckTales back in the day (the cartoon, the NES game, and the original Scrooge comics), so of course had to see the movie. Wasn't disappointed. Also, it's one of the few 80s franchises that has been given a successful reboot, which I am grateful for. (Ninja Turtles has gotten some quality reboots over the years, too.)

I'd say in addition to DuckTales and the 2003 (first 5 seasons) and 2012 TMNT series, Transformers Prime, My Little Pony FiM, Voltron: Lengendary Defender and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power all outdo their 80s originals.

There is nobody that can promote the CBS television better than the Temptations! I ain’t lying neither! They did a really good job promoting CBS television.

I had the magic nursery doll, cupcake doll, Quints and the ballerina. I'm sure I wanted everyone I saw here and I'm realizing how my mother was actually awesome at buying me so many of these.

Pretty sure the cafeteria lady in the pops commercial is Liz Sheridan (Jerry's mom in Seinfeld).

ALL THE TIME IT'S TETRIS TETRIS! Dang I used to say that a lot back in the day. John Madden would hawk anything back in the day!!! I miss network image campaigns. By the early 90s they would completely be abandoned. This CBS one was memorable!

Woah where did you get these ads from? WCAX is aired in my neck of the woods as I am a native. No wonder these ads looked so familiar I thought I was in a time warp. Marselis Parsons was the news anchor for years probably one of the best on this station.

Tiny Toon Adventures-Warners should try and revive this,it could much better than the current Looney Tunes show thats in development now Campbells Teddy Bear soup-Teddy Ruxpin should have been the spokesperson Milk-his head might explode due to all the calcium Corn Pops-better get a extra box for DJ DuckTales-Original > Disney XD reboot GI Joe Battle Copters-love how Duke is firing laser beams from a MP5

Gotta disagree, the DuckTales reboot is incredibly well done, among the top ten western non-superhero cartoons for all ages. DuckTales was one of my favorite shows growing up and I enjoyed watching the first series of episodes again decades later, but as an adult I can't wait for each new episode of the reboot to be released.

The free vinyl they gave out in the Cupcakes promo looks like it was probably a flexi disc, which cost very little to make: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flexi_disc Around 1990/91 vinyl was still selling about the same as CD's, which had not taken off yet. Most people were buying cassettes.

A lot of Mattel product commercials in this compilation, shame there's no Hot Wheels one though. Also like the commercial with the blind guy, he reminds me of president Richard Nixon for some weird reason.
