I was born in 1975 so am the same age as y'all...I loved seeing Showbiz Pizza, Color Tile, the old ass Burger King where you walk through the barriers like you're at Six Flags in line, and all those old places. Love it guys! Super cool..just watched 2 metalhead kids and now I'm in the rabbit hole!

Man this is so awesome. As someone who lives in Pensacola this is phenomenal to see. Pensacola and Pensacola Beach has changed so much in 30 years that the last time you uploaded a video about this I was seeing things that no longer exist and it really brought me back. The same thing here. And summer of 90 I was out on that Beach for the majority of it and who knows we may have crossed past and not even know it. I really do appreciate you uploading this video because you're taking me down a nostalgia trip of my city the way I remember it as a kid and the way it no longer looks. Thanks.

You're right about that. P'Cola has changed tremendously. I completed Naval "A" school in 2004 at NAS Pensicola. Before the tornados tore the place apart. This video is living history.

Middle of the night watching these big oak trees just sway back and forth andhaving one fall into my house during the peak of the storm and having to ride it out like that was scary. But fortunately I survived but some didn't and it really wrecked Pensacola.

I was born and raised in Pensacola. I was 2 years old when these vids were taken. You guys were at our favorite beach and I grew up eating at that burger king after a long day swimming at Johnson's Beach. It is so lovely to see it the way it was back then, before all of the hurricanes changed things up. This takes nostalgia to a whole new level for me. Thank you so much for posting.

Are you sure you ate at that BK? I don't know if you realize, but the whole first part of the video before they get to the hotel/condo they are actually in Mary Esther, not Pensacola. Pensacola is another 45 minute drive to the west from Mary Esther.

The best part of these videos other than the fact that I'm a child of the 80s and all this is so wonderful and I can remember so much of it is them discussing it. There have been lots of times I have seen videos from like the 80s and 90s on KZbin and and you have lots of questions about the video but with these guys that seems to all be covered. Thank you so much for sharing these home videos. My parents divorced when I was 3. My mom lived in Pensacola Beach. I spent all of my summers and holidays there. I was 8 in Aug of 1990. I found myself looking for me in the backgrounds. We actually lived in the condos right next to where you were staying. I almost cried when I saw Showbiz Pizza. And I know exactly where the comic store is. Also, I was just in Pensacola this past weekend. Can’t wait to see more videos.

August 1990 was a big change for me. I was getting ready to start college. It was odd because kids like you were going back to school and I was staying home. It was then I finally realized my life had changed from what I had known my whole life - wake up, get ready for school, catch the bus and go to school. That part of my life was over. I felt like I had missed the bus when I saw it drive by picking up kids for school. I recently had this conversion with my daughter who was in a similar situation and is starting college. She said to me it was a weird feeling seeing buses on the road and she wasn't in "school" with other kids. I told her I had the same feeling in 1990 and while it was odd and a change from everything you knew at about age 6 life only gets better from here on out and I told her to enjoy college because it would be some fun times. The beaches of Pensacola look much like the ones here in PCB. White sand beaches. Haven't been to Pensacola in a few years but that's OK, I have all I need in Panama City.

The whole beginning where you guys are in the Mary Esther/FWB area was a HUGE nostalgia trip for me. I was 7 when this was recorded and have lived in the area my whole life. A little sad you didn't get footage of the mall at the time as you filmed the other side of the road when you were passing it. It was awesome to see the Western Steer Steakhouse as I had vague memories of going there as a kid but sort of thought maybe it was just made up in my mind. It was also cool to be reminded of how tiny the old TBS Comics was. As you showed in the video it is still there. Somewhere around 2000 they bought the unit next to them and tore down the wall in order to expand/renovate. Also, I had forgotten about that Color Tile place, but remember how much the sign stood out to me as a kid.

So bizarre to see that comic book store. I was in there almost a year earlier when I was stationed in Pensacola. On the weekends we would also rent rooms in one of the hotels you were walking past on the beach. Like Keith down below I did my "A" school in Pensacola although at NTTC Corry rather than NAS (and I was a Marine not Navy). Around the time you guys were there we were getting ready to head to Saudi Arabia for the next 7-8 months.
