90's Toy Airport Set (KLM)

Holy buggery, were back to normal content this week! And were off to a strong start with something very nostalgic to me.
There is infomation around that these were made by Welly. But i am uncertan about this particualar set

I had a similar set, but mine was a VACATION set. RVs, trailers, atvs, a big tour bus, there was also a light signal that would "change" when you turned a tiny knob on the side.

Excellent unboxing! I actually have the later KLM airport playset in my collection. By the way, something neat you forgot to point out is on the International Airlines Truck, it has the tails for Alitalia, Air France, and Lufthansa.

Oh really? I know that i had ONE of these sets as a kid, but i don't remember which one it was. Athough i did show the surviving parts of it at the start of the video. Recently I have found a decent amount of car's from these sets in charity shops too (I think I have three of the busses loose now) Which is always nice. I did cover a set recently that i have resionable suspision is from the same company at the same time roughly. Worth a nosey if your looking for more silly content. I am thinking about picking up another one of these set's to cover since the video was my most watched video of 2019. And i do have a load of nostalgia for these sets!

You gonna need a bigger plane right. Despite it's a toy set, but some vehicles look semi realistic can be used as an adult hobby airport model.

I tend to find, that these vehicles appear in charity shops as loose toys very often. I have brought about four of the baggage handler cars and some of the lunch lorries seperatly, as well as two of the busses from just going around. Funny how things work

I've had some interesting experiences with KLM, I flew a KLM Boeing 747 from Amsterdam to Nairobi AMS-NBO and the flight was a really great flight. My seat 12A had a good view of the General Electric CF-6 engines and the scenery flying from Amsterdam to Nairobi was so beautiful from the moment we took of from Amsterdam, seeing the farm fields of Germany, flying over the Alps in Austria seeing something that comes out of scenes from the Sound Of Music, flying down the Adriatic Coast over Italy to cross into the Mediterranean sea and seeing the deserts of North Africa appear and seeing places from above 10,000 feet that are so remote was really nice and towards the end of the flight the sunset was beautiful and we would eventually get into Nairobi late at night. After a wonderful 2 weeks in Africa in both Kenya and Rwanda I flew the KLM Airbus A330-200 from Kigali to Amsterdam KGL-AMS via Entebbe Uganda which was another great flight with KLM.
