I guess I should have added that I hopefully will be able to add a new L3902 to the fleet this week, dealer has them and I just have to make up my mind, if the time to get it is right.

I’ve always had old tractors for the last 20 years….constantly working on them more than using them…as I get older I’m tired of that so 6 years ago I went and looked at new tractors about an hour from me. They had a variety of brands like New Holland , Massey Ferguson, Case and a few other off brands that were used…I sort of felt like it didn’t matter if I bought a tractor or not.. Ask the salesmen a few questions and he was short with me and preoccupied! Little did they know I was a serious buyer and had about half the money down to buy a new tractor! So on my quest for a tractor search on the net I found a kubota dealer 15 minutes from me…I never knew! Went there the next week just to look and was treated very respectfully and all my questions were answered promptly. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted so I bought a 2501 standard trans but really wanted the 3901 but couldn’t justify the extra expense! Ran the 2501 for 6 years with no issues… I ended up using it way more than my old tractors but soon found out I could have used more power and the hydrostat opt. Some recently I traded in the 2501 on a 3902 …sort of glad I waited because of the minor improvements over the 3901. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase! I’m sure other tractors are just as good but I also consider my dealer support a big factor with a purchase! Nice review tho!

I really like Kubota. I've had 2 in the past and I honestly like you feel that they are a better bargain then Deere.nothing impressed me about the Deere compacts.

I have not followed up on this over the years: John Deere seems pretty aggressive about preventing independent repairs. Is Kubota better then JD in this respect? www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2020-03-05/farmers-fight-john-deere-over-who-gets-to-fix-an-800-000-tractor

good point, I think it applies mostly to the larger not smaller tractors. I've been able to do a lot on my own to my tractor

Looks terrible. I'd rather have renewable plastic than faded painted metal... and I'm a bota fan!

Must be horrible to go through life never having heard of new paint

Restoring plastic vs repainting an entire metal tractor. Cost difference is significant. It's not a bragging point for kubota. Not to mention dents.

@@Isenseven1080 obviously you’ve never used spray paint to touch up an old piece of machinery.
