Ok, one of THE best cars on KZbin, one of THE best cars ever made, one of THE sexiest cars ever made, and it’s American! The Grand National, the GNX, and the Regal T Type was one of GM’s pinnacle achievements. Mustang vs Grand National, back at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park was a staple of the early 90’s. This is a fantastic build, keep it in the family and just hand it down. Don’t let go of it. May not be stock anymore, but still special. 🇺🇸👍💪

Having owned 2 different GN’s in my day, one a totally stock daily driver and the other was a modified, low 10 sec weekend warrior. The true beauty of these cars that no one hardly ever mentions is that no matter how pumped up the car may be, when you accelerate normally, the car behaves as though it’s completely stock, smooth idle, smooth ride, super comfortable and quiet inside, cold a/c and an underrated wicked sounding Bose Concert Sound II stereo system! No real indication it’s pumped until you tromp on it at which time, ALL hell breaks loose!!! During the time I owned these cars in the mid/late 80’s, I lived in Ft. Lauderdale where the Hot Rod/Street racing scene was huge. I cannot tell you how many times I totally destroyed (typically by 8-10 car lengths) these dudes with tricked out rides with 75-100k in their cars, leaving them feeling quite dazed and confused. What a great time it was!

*In my 87 GN I had the 4140 forged stroker crank kit from archie who owns gn1 dot com and the big 72MM ball bearing turbo and alot of other parts. Spent little over $10K on parts alone on that car and It was an absolute beast, turbo was spoiling out 30 lbs of boost when getting on the gas. I traded that car in 2018 for a white and gold 69 Hurst/Olds 442 with the 455 and this car is badass too but I still miss the GN and never drove a car that hooked and pulled as hard as that car.*

says someone who has never owned a gn. trust me after swinging those fragile 3.8s on a cherry picker then building a turbo ls for another vehicle thats bombproof for half the cost, it gets tempting to put one in my buick.

@@robertmahaney6831 Seriously? I'm 40 man. I got dusted in my 1986 RX-7 by a GNX and if I can ever get my hands on a good one. I'll buy that bad boy up and never change anything except strengthen that motor and maybe a bigger turbo. I love that car it's iconic!

Exponentially more respect for sticking with the V6. I cringe when people put a V-8 in it. It takes away from the nostalgia by putting a V-8 in it since these cars are meant to piss off V-8 owners.
