Been a fan for years and I FINALLY got to see Aes here in Kansas months back and the dude carries heavy weight with him on stage. got mad presence. Caught him off-stage just hanging out like a regular dude and got a photo with him. He was wicked humble and polite. It was seriously the best thing I've experienced at any show. I suggest seeing him if you're remotely possible. You won't be disappointed. I could rave for days about how great it was.

Well it's quite obvious to me that Aesop Rock either doesn't need to breathe or does it from a different orifice than we do.
@ryanhouk35608 жыл бұрын
not saying he can or does, but certain horn players, like bagpipes, digirido, oboe, basoon, or english horn, are taught to exhale from their mouths while at the same time inhaling through their nose. the term is called circular breath or circular breathing. this means you can restock your oxygen as you play, sing, rap whatever. some high level beat boxers can do it. I wouldn't doubt that he could too.
@untamedbanana37948 жыл бұрын
+Ryan Houk I haven't seen any beatboxers that can do that and I watch a lot of beatboxers. There's a reason why they invented different inhaling sounds because not many people could probably even do that

Truly a genius. It's one thing to write abstract lyrics but it's another thing to see a coherent flow and remember all of these lyrics and to have a true emotional response to said lyrics. He blows my mind and has been for 20 years. it's a shame that he is underground when ass clowns like Drake are big. Certainly says something about the majority rule.

The diamond are always found in the rough, mainstream just loves repetitive puppets. Usually if people can't sing along to a song they won't listen cause instead of actually caring about what the artist says they just want the energy from it. I just know that cause I used to be asleep, but after I took LSD that made me woke and truly appreciate local artists. Like Black Moth Super Rainbow, they're my favorite psychedelic band

This was definitely the first remotely underground rap song I’d ever heard when I was like in 6th or 7th grade and I had been getting into wu tang and tribe and all that stuff when you’re starting off getting into hip hop. But then I heard this and I remember listening to the opening verse so much I had never heard someone with lyricism like that I think it was a huge early influence for what made me love this style of hip hop and want to rap in the first place

Verse 1] Flash that buttery gold Jittery zeitgeist, wither by the watering hole, what a patrol What are we to Heart Huckabee, art fuckery suddenly Not enough young in his lung for the water wings Colorfully vulgar poacher, out of mulch Like, "I'ma pull the pulse out a soldier and bolt." Fine, sign of the time we elapse When a primate climb up a spine and attach Eye for an eye, by the bog life swamps and vines They get a rise out of frogs and flies So when a dogfight's hog-tied prize sort of costs a life The mouths water on a fork and knife And the allure isn't right No score on a war-torn beach Where the cash cow's actually beef Blood turns wine when it leak for police Like, "That's not a riot; it's a feast, let's eat!" [Chorus] And I will remember your name and face On the day you are judged by the funhouse cast And I will rejoice in your fall from grace With a cane to the sky, like, "None shall pass." None shall pass, none shall pass
