To all the people saying that brent would tune it better, sure. But do yall realize how many engine's Brent blew up before he learned the ins and outs of tuning? Trevor in my opinion is learning REALLY FAST and you can see that by the numbers he put down which are still some what conservative. If trevor just paid people whole bunch of money to work on his cars his channel wouldnt be so fun to watch. So thank you trevor for working your ass of and producing quality content!

I have a 612 whp fully built LSVTEC turbo in my EJ8 Civic coupe and I have a 530 LPH fuel pump in my tank, so I used all 10 gauge wire with a 40A relay and rewired the whole thing. The only stock wire is the signal wire to tell the pump to power on. Im planning to make more power this year. The only thing holding me back last year was the .63 AR exhaust housing on the Garrett GTX3582R, and I bought a 1.06 AR housing for it.

Glad to see it worked better in 4th and you got the ramping of the dyno sorted. Hats off to you for doing it yourself and also being open to learning as you go.
@altypeRR4 жыл бұрын
Oh and the moment it started pushing water as soon as it came in boost it was clear the head gasket was no longer sealing. My guess would be that the cylinder pressures are now stretching the head bolts and if tiny the head with that sort of power. I’d make sure the head mating surfaces are still all flat, get another gasket and go up a strength range in head studs.

Two things to check with the ecumaster. Make sure actual timing is synced. So the engine is getting what the ECU says it’s getting. And are you running the variable valve feedback to make sure intake cam is getting what you command and is adjusting it in closed loop.

I had a 93 accord m/t Years ago at the shop, the engine would idle at about 1700 only when the wheels would roll as soon as the wheels stopped the idle returned to normal. TPS has a crack in it and got wet. Resulted in the ecu getting close to the correct reading but didn’t completely close, the ecu logic says if the wheels are turning and the throttle is open, open the IAC to max... The ecu makes a lot of decisions based on tps it can be difficult the work them all out in your head.

The load doesn’t need to be guessed , it’s easy . How fast does it pull in 4th and 5th gear eg on the logs , 20/30/40mph per second etc. now you know that just run the dyno at that ramp rate or a touch more loaded . Dyno jets etc are rubbish, your using a real dyno now so you can set it to replicate true rolling loads in the tall gears and the tune once on the road/track should be near perfect straight away as it’s already been simulated .
