What's funny is the irony of it all: low-rise jeans were all the rage, but now high waist jeans are practically a staple. In fact, the styles we're seeing now are mainly [modern] repeats of every other decade EXCEPT the 2000's. lol

+candiigurl7893 that's how fashion always goes, for example when i was a teenager in the nineties we thought 80s styles were the ultimate in trashiness.. and then after the millenium fashions shifted to get away from a lot of the stuff we did in the 90s, unfortunately I can see a 2000's revival coming in the next 5 to 10 years! Altho right now it seems like the decade that good taste forgot because it's only just been, I bet the next generation of teenagers will be all over it. Fashion is so strange, it just goes round and round really and young people always seem to want to recreate the decade before them (when I was growing up we were fixated on the 70s and like I say 80s was considered awful)

Rebecca Wildman The 80's was a fashion disaster that spread across the globe like the plague, leaving a few survivors. lol But yeah, I get it- completely. Fashion has pretty much been a "rinse and repeat" cycle with a few originals here and there and some modern twists on certain pieces. This only proves that styles and fashion outlive the people wearing them and continue for generations. In a way, that's a good thing. I love 50's fashion, with some 40's and 60's, and a little bit go 70's thrown in. ^^

+Kar Yen I don't own a green bomber and I doubt a lot of other people do, hence using an oversized denim jacket as an alternative. These are everyday looks inspired by 90s characters so they are not identical. If they were identical they would be more like halloween costumes.

American Apparel is expensive if you live in the United States, because prices are way lower there in general. some Australians will disagree with me on this, but tbh most of our clothing here is a lot more expensive, so the prices of American Apparel don't seem that outrageous to us because we are used to it.

Yes it is however I think it's worth investing in. I have a few AA pieces that I've had for literal years and are in really good shape because the craftsmanship is quality. Sometimes it's worth spending a bit more. I mean Sofie shows that AA tennis skirt a lot in her lookbooks and it just shows that there's a lot of variety in one piece

the only reason its so expensive is because they don't use sweatshops! i personally think thats really good. cheap clothes are most likely made in sweatshop conditions and the quality will never be as good as AA. i live in australia so i paid $86aud for my black tennis skirt but after having it for almost 3 years and wearing it all the time it is still in perfect condition. they're pricey but 100% worth it!!!
