I would really like to see you guys assay/crush and reveal the gold in this sort of stuff. Finding it is extremely interesting it I feel we're missing 1/3 Of the story.
@markb9347
@markb9347 5 жыл бұрын
At least 1/3 of the story Chris. From my perspective it is much more than that. Is this gold disseminated at micron scale i.e. there is no "free mill" gold in there??? Does this ore require "expensive" metallurgical processing??? Does arsenic presence diminish the value of the ore??? etc. etc. All the sorts of things that make hard rock mining more complex and expensive than placer mining is what I think you're looking for Chris. Even rich assay results, do not necessarily translate to economic mining prospects. Many of the world's "best" ore deposits could never be mined economically without multi billion dollar investments. Likewise, many high grade deposits aren't economic because they can't be scaled up big enough, or aren't easily accessible, or political/environmental issues, or location, location, location, or etc. etc. etc. One of the things that makes recreational prospecting so fun and interesting is you can keep it very simple and see the results of your work at the end of a day. That isn't typical for professional level prospecting and mining. That said, there is a whole continuum of miners, from 1 man with 1 pan and his dog or donkey, all the way up to mining asteroids and other planets in the coming decades. Every level exists between these two extremes, and the main thing(s) that separates the two is lots of education/research/INVESTMENT of time and resources. People need to be willing and able to do that sort of hard work to play this game at higher and higher levels. Simple hacks and explanations can help people forward at the recreational level, but they won't make someone an expert mineralogist, petrologist, geophysicist, etc. etc. To have those levels of understanding you have to hit the books/research hard and spend lots of time. Most people aren't truly that interested in all of that hard work. Most people want big nuggets in their hands today without all the complexities and complications and investments and risks and headaches that go with playing at a higher level. Those that are truly more interested work very hard to be self taught or spend the $$$$ and time on university educations (with highly questionable returns on these INVESTMENTS). There were more people that got rich in the 1850's "mining the miners" by selling picks, spades, equipment, maps, claims, etc. than people who struck it rich with gold. The same is true today, but there are additional methods of "mining the miners" added to the mix like KZbin channels, social media pages, more sophisticated and technological equipment, college educations, etc. etc. The one principle that holds as true today as back then is, miners should do their best to invest their time and resources as wisely as possible. Wisdom often comes at a very high cost. Caveat emptor. Buyer beware. If you are loving what you do while you're doing it, even if it doesn't pan out the way you hoped it would, the low or negative return on investment might still be worth it (for the recreational level at low investment). That is for you to decide. If it is not worth it to you, don't do it. The further up the investment spectrum you go, the higher the potential costs and consequences... possibly the rewards to, but almost definitely the complexity and knowledge required. There's no free lunch. Enjoy the research if you enjoy the research. Enjoy the digging if you enjoy the digging. Or don't if you don't.

We think we tapped into the vien but it's going to take a lot of exposing. We think it's an extension of an old mine which they thought to have been barren so they stopped mining.

With that mineral content how much tonnage would need to be economically viable?
@911mining
@911mining 5 жыл бұрын
We would remove as little as a ton. Getting a refinery on board for a few tonnes may be a possibility. It would be easier to sell to our buyers though, we have buyer who will grab a tonne on the spot.
