As an Indian in the UK, I am increasingly agitated to see this skewed portrayal of India in the Western media where the left is anything but liberal. Great to hear views that validate my concerns. It's definitely time to decolonise beginning with the narrative.

They want you to hate Modi . Just like they targeted Trump, Boris. They rake up lack of democracy under Modi . What they don't tell you, is that this js Nothing new in India. All previous Govts ruled same way. This new agenda is unfortunately promoted infact by India's opposition. Unable to defeat him at home, they 1. Seek help suport from external forces . 2. Demonise Modi's supporters ,esp Hindus as Fascist, fundamentalists like they demonised Trump's supporters as White racists etc. It's upto Westerners to educate themselves.

Abusing beyond insanity. White people have right to fear their county being over taken by immigrants. It's a natural concern . Minorities in USA have right to protect themselves from being abused by white racists . That doesn't mean all white Trump supporters are racists . It's this blanket accusation that's dangerous

What Ruchir says about the Indian state not being able to articulate what Indianness means to the people is true. We had a power transfer from the gora sahab to the brown sahab. Although most societies after a revolution tend to keep the same bureaucracy to maintain some sanity and order. Singapore did it and so did France after the French revolution. What we missed was to tweak the bureaucracy, judiciary and other institutions to fit our needs. That I feel is something changing albeit slowly.

Why would we expect BJP to go out of their way to convince the farmers for the laws they had been asking forever. This is not very relevant but please do adopt a more uniform method of spelling your channel's name भारतवार्ता in the roman script. You must use one 'a' for अ and either two 'a's or ā for आ. North Indians often drop (in their pronunciation) the a after t in bhārata but I suggest you don't omit it in the written form. You can spell it as: bhāratavārtā or bhaaratavaartaa. I suggest you go with bhāratavārtā. Good luck!
