Ike is wrong, you give the general manager credit for putting the best team on the field/court, the coach and the players have to take care of the rest. That said, don’t ever compare Daryl Morey to the goat, Howie Roseman.

Morey whiffed on Harden, but got rid of Simmons terrible contract and ultimately turned Harden into picks and expiring contract. This year Morey's stamp is enitrely all over the team, and we will get a good measure of the job Morey did assembling this team

Morey is doing a great job. He lost credibility with his love of Harden but at least did the right thing by not extending him. Hiring Nurse was also a great move.

What an absolutely ridiculous take and really highlights that Spike is a pro-Sixers apologist than anything else. The man who turned down Ben for Haliburton + Hield + 2 firsts to instead trade for a washed up Harden is a hall of fame GM? Morey understands how to build paper teams based on stats. You could argue that if he had traded Ben for Haliburton instead of wasting Joel's prime years with Harden, the Sixers might have won a title.
