been retuned and revving to 9100 at the moment, makes 370whp as of a few days ago on 19 psi on the new sc34 .82 exhaust housing. tuned on crome gold.

Well I bought the car with the built motor and turbo set up on it for 5400. Then put another $1500 in suspension into it. Everything needed replaced underneath. Got another build on the way on my 4dr EG. Gonna do all this myself. Already got the turbo setup and internals. Hopefully will get vid of that over this winter

oil pressure seems low on idle because it is a mechanical gauge and their isnt quite enoguh pressure that far away from the gauge for it to read correctly.

I already found a package of vitara pistons and eagle rods and bearings, then I was checking out a cxracing turbo kit. I know they're cheap kits..any suggestions? Its a turbo charger. He showed it in the beginning of the video. It makes the engine more efficient while driving, and also gives it that nice sound during the shift.

this isnt a D Motor its a built B16 most likely with a type R head and they can happily rev to 10k

Michael Hagler It was a custom 3 inch downpipe to a custom 3 inch full aluminum exhaust with just a vibrant muffler at the end. Was an amazing system with v-bands to section it. Could lift it with one finger...aluminum ftw

I had a friend who told me that adding to turbo to a non-turbo motor immediately puts the reliability of the vehicle into question. He told me not to mod a car like this and expect to drive it more than 200km away from a garage. It made me think the only way I'd own a reliable daily driver with a turbo was to buy one with it all setup stock with turbo.

yes and no. if you add a turbo to a stock car, then you deserve everything that happens to it. if you install supporting modifications (clutch, injectors, etc) then there is no doubt the car will last. and yes buying a car that has a turbo from the factory will be easier, but that doesn't mean it will be more reliable than turbocharging a car that wasn't from the factory.

Those little d series can handle the boost with the proper modifications but the transmission can't hold up past 300hp. Not to mention the issues with bearings in these little motors.

yup, this is my car now. made 270whp when i got it with the 60-1 and bisi 3.6 and all that. with that said, whoever assembled the head didnt do the proper clearance for the larger vtec lobe in the cam oil galley. cam was worn so i ordered a new bisi and had nothing but problems with him so made some changes. in this video block was wiseco pistons, eagle rods, bisi 3.6 cam, just as he stated, the kid i bought the car from however told me it was sleeved and itwas NOT. with the 60-1 turbo on it we couldnt get over 300 out of it (on boost surge). i switched to a precision t3t04e 57 trim and switch to a delta 272-2 (since bisi is a junk and sells junk chinese "billet" cams), and made 435whp @25psi on 110 octane. car made 377whp on 93 pump gas at 18psi as well... since then i have swapped it to a built c1 w/ls crank, sc6152e, top mount, etc. car currently makes 419whp on 93 pump. only got one trip to the track before it closed and on the 320whp power level ran 7.6@94mph on a 1.8 60ft. figured this fella might wanna know all this as he helped me diagnose what the car had and didnt have compared to what chet maynard lied to me about.

Not sure why your setup is spooling so late. That turbo on other cars spooled by 3k running stock type of d16 block. You shouldn't have to downshift to spool up from 5th.

Bisi 3.6 showed no gains comparing to a 2.4 for boost pressures under 20psi. BTW high rpms and 400+hp on stock D series block is not a good idea.
