96-97 R50 Nissan Pathfinder Tach/Speedo not working fix.

It’s the points that need to be resoldered . Also the ground screw needs to be tight. Just watch the video and pay attention to the points I’m talking about. You’ll reheat those. Over time they develop cracks and lose connections.

Thank you Jason, I did inspect , soldering appeared sound. However the micro switch appears to be faulty.

Your welcome. Even though the soldering looks good it could still have cracks in it within. Just thought I’d throw that out there.

Any idea on a 99 pathfinder cluster works then Speedo and tach gets stuck gas and temp both all the way down

Gonna try and this a shot. Both my tach and speedo are no longer moving for the most part. The rpm tach when I turn the qx4 on does move ever so slightly. Any tips or what do you think?

@@BigBlueTalk I’ve fixed two of these clusters using this method. You can try tightening the screws on the back of the tach and the speedo first to see if that helps. There are 4 screws each that hold in the tach and the speedo. Good luck!

@@Elcocko so I actually found 3 clusters in a salvage yard, supposedly all work and were pulled out of working vehicles. Is it as simple as removing my non working one and plugging in one of the new ones? Or do they need to be programmed?
