Youths were brainwashed, I won't ever excuse a Natzi, but I do excuse minors who didn't have a chance to fully mature before they were compelled into service. They were warped and wronged and altered horribly by those who molded them, I think some modicum of understanding should be bestowed on their behalf. I'm not excusing their role in this whole horror, but these were kids who never had a chance to develop their own moral compass in the evil time they grew up in.

Compare her with Martin Sandberger, who was a top S.S. killer on a level with Eichmann but who came from such a well-connected family that key West German and U.S. politicians and churchmen got together to rescue him from hanging: Sandberger left prison in 1958 and lived comfortably "in the open" until dying at 98 in 2010. Many other high-ranking S.S. killers escaped a suitable end at the end of a rope.

no it is. It's illegal in some euro countries and considered holocaust denial to ask certain questions. Im sure there is ways to get around it but the laws are very strict.. a few years back around 2015 they (Germany) locked up a 90+ year old German woman for saying she had doubts about it.. I know that is different than asking questions but that shows how strict they are about it... Why isn't there laws about denying the Holodomor or the Arminian genocide? There's actual goverments that deny those two genocides but no countries ever get mad about it like they do about the holocaust.@@Goodiesfanful

The victims of death camps deserve justice but putting a woman on trial who was 14 when the war began, 18 in 1943 & 20 at war’s end doesn’t seem to consider what she’s been through either. Do we think she had the power at age 18 to resist her govt’s propaganda? If she executed ppl or selected those poor ppl for execution then yes, try her. But there were many Germans who were assigned jobs who would’ve been labeled resisters & killed or imprisoned for refusing to be part of the war effort. The Nazis did horrible things to their own ppl too. Find a 96 year old in your world that you think could handle the rigors of a trial & be competent to defend herself.

Interesting how most of the american people say she should face jailtime, here in germany its kinda the opposite. Most people say that they just should live their few years that they got. I mean what is this for a way to go, live your last 2 or 3 years in some rotton jail with the age of 96 years. I also support that she shouldn't go to jail because most of the people didn't even have a chance, as her. She most likely would have been killed if she refused to do that
