2 important comments if anyone is reading this. 1 do not apply heat to the shaft, heat expands, therefore in theory you are actually making it tighter by doing so. If you use heat, and that is an acceptable choice, heat the flywheel around the shaft so that area expands bigger than the shaft. 2 this is an important safety fact. When applying pressure with that puller, LEAVE THE NUT ON THE SHAFT. If you watch the video on here by a guy called “bullshit repair” or something like that, his flywheel and tool when flying when it came loose! - I’m not being a know it all or anything, but when I popped mine off with some heat, and it popped and stopped at the nut, it is startling

Starter stuck in flywheel can't pull out more than 1in doesnt look broke gear turns on starter thru opening do I have to pull flywheel

dont heat the shaft bc the metal expands. do not use heat at all just paitents and leave it over night if u have to and it will b poped in the morning

Ok, now the critical comments after watching the full video… that was a total reenactment… that would not had come off with a puller being tightened with fingers.., I call bullshit on this. Next, what is the point of PB blaster after it is off and wiping the shaft???

I cannot see internal and external surfaces of the magneto!!? Where is the pickup sensor?

Good video but the heat was kinda a waste of time.. after all that time wasted figuring out where wrenches go etc all that 30 seconds with just map gas went away. That pb blaster should of been smoking lol
