I was in 7th grade when this came out, I was the only athlete who loved to sing boy bands out loud or to myself, then 8th grade hit and I was finally got caught singing by my teammates and classmates, best part I heard was hearing them saying dont stop. Now at 35 with my life on hold cause I was diagnosed with Chronic leukemia, it makes me smile with tears down my eyes, knowing life so precious this is my best therapy to get through

And now, as 37 year old mother of 3, listening to this music and thinking back to being a young teenager, I definitely wish I would have appreciated being young rather then always wanting/wishing I was adult and always trying to make myself seem or appear older (like I'm sure most of us did lol) but either way, I have many AMAZING memories of my teenage years and boy bands/band music are a MASSIVE part of all those memories and eve tho it's been over 17 years, some of those memories feel like they were just made!!! I saw 98' at the Epcot food and wine festival this year and they were probably the most popular of all artist for the entire season. It was dazzling to see how they lit up the crowd singing and dancing and the hoards surrounding the outside of the pavillion. I think they will likely have them back next year because they truly are a crowd pleaser. I think they have gotten better with time rather than just being a nestalgia band.

Boy bands are a guilty pleasure of mine. 98 Degrees deserve respect because they were formed independently rather than assembled by a greedy manager or label for profit. They are not comparable to Backstreet Boys or N'Sync because I don't consider them to be a boy band. They are more like a white version of Boyz II Men.
