Great stuff here! Love to see s John Prine, he's not talked about ever. Willie, heck yeah! That Wilburys record is in my top ten ever.

Thanks Glen. Was thinking of you when looking for the banjo cover, and your love of Bela Fleck. I did see that about it would have been his 100th, but just forgot. Hope all’s well in Belleville. My daughter just told us she’s expecting in May, our second grandchild. I know you’d understand how that feels. Cheers.

Hi Jack! In the dead of winter you show that CSN album. It warmed me up thinking of warmer days. I have Tedeschi/Trucks on my list of bands to see. Hello in there is one of Prine’s best songs. Kris K did a very good interview with CBS 60 Minutes a year or 2 ago. Easily accessible on KZbin if you haven’t seen it.

Don’t we wish we were on that sailboat! I’m going to check out that interview for sure. Cheers.

Holy smokes Jack! There’s a lot going on here. I applaud you for this effort. I’m sure Sam appreciates seeing Travelling Wilburys in here. I don’t think I can do this thread so I might copy and paste yours. Have a great weekend!

Hey nice to see someone who's a Doug fan. That album's a keeper... One of my fav's of his many records. He put out a lot of records on a number of record labels. Probably was one of the first artist's to bring "the Tex Mex sound" into the top 40 during the sixties.Doug spent a few months in Victoria back in the '80's. Was living north of the city at the time. Helped out on some recording project with Doug Cox which ended up on an album titled "Coastal Focus". Cheers!

I’m a huge Sahm fan. Not a completist yet, but it’s a good day when I find one I don’t have. I never knew he lived on the island, thanks for that. You an islanders? Cheers.

@@vinylmartini3377 l was an Islander from '85 - '91 and lived in Victoria. I'm now living in Saskatoon, the former home of Joni......Cheers.

I'm still putting away records from the original vinyl tag. I'm hoping by June or so, to back to normal. I've been lucky enough to see Lucinda. Great show. Although I've never seen him perform, I once dug a big hole to plant a tree with Peter Case. His kid and my daughter went to the same school in L.A. On workday, it didn't matter who you were, labor was expected. I also put up a sunshade over a play area with Tim Allen and worked on a fence with Vigo Mortensen. Jealous about Tom Waits. Never got to see him live.
@vinylmartini33778 ай бұрын
Great stories. Mortensen is one of my favourite actors, been in some great films. Peter Case is a great storyteller. Otis Gibbs has a channel on KZbin which I highly recommend. He interviewed Case, and he has some fab stories to tell about the musicians he’s met over the years. Still looking for Plimsols albums, but they go for a pretty penny now. Cheers.

Jack, The Prine...nice. I'm a big fan of country blues, just before it went electric in Chicago. Townes is amazing imho. This vid proved I have more Americana kinda stuff than I thought, Buck, Kristofferson, Bob, Doug, George Jones, etc. Cheers...Ben

Hi Jack. One of the great things about the vinyl tags is they introduce us to channels we didn’t previously know about. I really enjoyed your entry, have subscribed and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I did not know that Susan & Derek had divorced? So sorry to hear that.

Probably pretty tough to work together and live together 24/7. Thanks for subbing Elliot.

The banjo question forced me to stay on the sidelines of this one. Well, actually, a lot of questions were simply too hard for me. Good job on this one. I have never seen Tom Waits. That's a bummer.

Tickets for Waits would be hard to come by Brian. He was fantastic.
