I'm not sure why the Maye run play thing was brought up, who cares if he doesn't do a design run play towards the end of the season risking injury, we already know he can run amuck on the field he doesn't need to practice that lol smh, I want him and his WRs to get on the same page if anything that the most important thing to be concerned about. there was no point in causing Mayo to say you said it not me on a pointless question

Wolf has been involved in drafting players for years. With the exception of Maye they had a terrible draft. The two wide receivers they drafted in the 2nd and 4th rds don't show any promise. It's like Bill never left. The DC is awful, the HC while a nice guy is very inexperienced and it shows, Van Pelt was getting better until the last game. The future despite Maye does not look very bright. Everyone needs to go.

Culture isn’t an abstract concept.. it’s the product of winning games, playing hard, practicing and preparing, consistently doing the right things at every level, being competitive, etc. it’s built over time by doing those things day in and day out. Mayo hasn’t accomplished any of that. Bringing in an overlord to teach your coach how to be a coach is not how you build culture. JFC how did this organization become an absolute dumpster fire on the level of the Panthers in 1 season.
@dchenkin02
@dchenkin02 12 күн бұрын
Patriots have a far superior quarterback than the Panthers, Raiders, Giants. Getting a quality General Manager would immediately elevate the Patriots back to a mediocre team.
@Yewtewbturd
@Yewtewbturd 12 күн бұрын
@dchenkin02 From a player personnel perspective sure. Mayo doesn’t even take accountability for his own mistakes until forced to by the media, that’s the culture he’s creating and it’s on display every Sunday. Same mistakes game after game, that isn’t just a talent issue, it’s coaching. Even with better players this team wouldn’t be middle of the pack with Mayo as HC. And good luck to the GM bringing in talent with the dumpster fire Mayo has created. lol Mayo and company interviewed 12 OCs and 11 said no thanks, they settled with the only guy who would say yes. And the guy they hired doesn’t even have a record of calling plays!! 😂 Do you think with all of the teams expected to go in on Tee Higgins, that he won’t look at the Patriots offer and belly laugh the same way Aiyuk and Ridley did?

I think Robert and Johnathan are the ones who are making the decisions for the first time in 25 years. It shows on the field, the owners should never be involved in player and personnel decisions. Toucher rarely has any good arguments, and it’s even more rare for him to be able to express those, but saying that 90% of the fan base didn’t want Maye is absolute lunacy. There was a tiny fraction of ill informed people that were extremely vocal about their preference of not taking, not just Maye, but any QB with the 3rd overall pick because of how abhorrent the roster was, and still is. I wish he wasn’t the co-chair to Hardy how I like to listen to, and even worse, I wish he wasn’t part of so many panels with good regular guests - like Perry and Breer.

The QB is priority. DO NOT CHANGE THE OFFENSE! Keep AVP working with Drake Maye & bring in a play caller! I’d also keep Scott Peters the O-Line coach. Who’s had to work with mostly practice squad & street guys to play on the Pats O-Line. TE’s have played descent. I’d keep TE’s Coach Bob Bicknell. RB’s & WR’s Coaches can be replaced. DC Covington should be replaced with a more experienced coach.

to me it’s very simple, do you believe at this point that Vrabel will always be the better head coach than mayo? i think some fans of the team don’t realize how bad the patriots brand has gotten since brady left. you’re not just gonna be able to go out there and get ben johnson and a star gm candidate because this job is going to be near the bottom of anyone’s list! Vrabel is an exception due to history but the idea that you’re going to clear house and immediately find more competent replacements after this disaster of a year is a pipe dream! give mayo and wolf another year to build with a bunch of cap space and if you’re able to improve the reputation of the team a bit (look competent for a season) you’ll be in a much better place next year to find replacements

WHY does the first question HAVE to be, "What helps Jerod Mayo the most?" This accepts the Kraft assumption that Mayo has what it takes to be a successful NFL head coach. WHAT has he done that should lead anyone to come to that assumption?
