I have been a fan of Mark Hoppus since I saw him play in "Of all things" at the fairgrounds in Ridgecrest CA back in the early 90s. They did a cover of silly girl by the descendants and I was like Ok, Mark can be a star. I was right. in 1994 I heard he had a band called Blink and I bought it at Blue Meanie Records in SD. It was so raw. lol! But there was definitely something there. Obviously. Anyway I am very happy for Mark and wish him continued success. And I think he looks distinguished now. Oh man we are both so old. lol!!

I saw them a few months ago in Vegas and that show was fuckin lit! They kept the energy and had fire shooting throughout the stage with lots of inflatables and props in the crowd. It had much more of a "professional stage act" feel which was very cool. I was thoroughly impressed.

Whats up Harms and Mark: great to hear a new project just happened and eager for new Blink album as well. It was keen of your wife to dial in on the depression and direct it. Even though a great project came out of it.,(which I'm about to click on the single next).. This also sounds alot like PTSD as the troops experience.. that it should be ignored. I don't mean things got traumatic for you so much as theres a very intense level of performance and when its not there, the body craves it.. 10 years down the road you might have a stage injury from going hard or .. or somehow age starts tearing things up that will lay you out or another band member up. .. as has been the case.. learning another passionate career might be necessary .. just as music is important .. music is also like Blink182.. Brett Burton yep. Like 2 or 3 days ago Alex ATL was in studio with Rian ATL and Zakk ATL. Jack ATL was traveling but I think they’re already meeting each other for recording some stuff. You can watch their Instagram stories which are pretty cool :)

its not exactly the same situation...like he said...it doesnt intervene the work with his main band.....in the case of tom, he added so many projects to his schedule it was impossible for him to work with the band. the original follow up to neighborhoods was delayed for almost 2 years, and by the time they were ready to have equipment moved to a studio in early 2015, tom bailed cause he was still too busy ....but look at travis...during the time that tom left, he had as many or more side projects than tom, his book, collabs, other albums etc....yet he was always down to do blink, tom wasnt

Mark is that kind of person that looked incredibly young in his 20s and 30s, and now he is paying the price to his 40s. But he doesn't look bad...just old, but that can be reversed with simple life style choices tho. Most of that can be reversed with a diet/cardio/workout routine

It could be that Mark did feel like BCR could have been a blink album. However, from everything I have learned about the situation, it was more that Tom didn't think Mark would want to budge from the commercial/poppy/mainstream sound of TOYPAJ that got them so much attention. Tom thought Mark would want to stick to that formula and make lots of $ instead of trying to be different. I also feel like some of it was Tom wanting to see what he can do on his own to see if he could survive as an artist without Mark - in case things ever got weird between them. They were probably already starting to drift apart with how big the band was getting around the time and all the $$$ coming in... Mark had a reason to be angry, IMO. It was an early sign of the bad communication in the band that would eventually lead to it's demise...

Honestly, I was very worried when I heard of the SC announcement for these same reasons. But Drug does really stand on its own, and doesn't really sound like blink or ATL. So, have no fear! Marks main musical priority will ALWAYS be blink!
