I am going to replace the o rings on my 7.3 since I have oil in fuel bowl(none in tank). Should I replace cups while I have injectors out?
@CountryMileGarage Жыл бұрын
No only if you have fuel in the coolant you need to replace injector cups. Oil on the fuel bowl is injector O-rings for sure. Hope this helps and thank you for watching

@@CountryMileGarageso I have bad pressure in my resorvoir a small amount of water in oil truck doesn’t smoke like it has blown head gasket, small amounts of diesel sutt in coolant as well could this be the cups?
@CountryMileGarage9 ай бұрын
@@korbynbrown3057 that doesn't sound good water in oil and to much pressure in coolant reservoir sounds like a bad head gasket. Fuel in coolant is bad injector cups for sure. Sitting from here my guess would be you have 2 problems. But in order to fix the head gaskets it's a small step to do injector cups. Hope this helps and thank you for watching

❤did you ever have a problem with getting pressure in the filter and motor quit running

Meaning engine oil in the fuel bowl filter ? I'm not sure which filter you mean ... thank you for watching

Great vid Theo. Do you change everything on both sides or can you get away with doing only one side?
@CountryMileGarage Жыл бұрын
Bill you can even just replace one but I strongly recommend to do all of them, if one goes it's only a matter of time others will follow and then you have to go in I don't know how many times ... thank you for watching my friend

I've done this without removing the oil deflectors. I wanted to watch to remember if you had to remove both oil plugs or just one or the other.

I remove both plugs from the high pressure oil rail. Hope this helps and thank you for watching

Not gonna lie I’d rather work on a 7.3/6.0 rather than a damn duramax. Seen the video comparisons on a duramax injectors replacement and holy hell

I've never messed with pulling the oil rail plugs. Just leave the glow plugs out and crank.

What happens if I don't take out both of the drain bolts when chaining the fuel injectors and glow plugs?
@CountryMileGarageАй бұрын
@@tbrizzley6347 your cylinders will fill up with oil and likely that you hydro lock the engine. If you don't want to do that before you install it glow plugs set the valve covers in place with just a couple of the bolts and crank the engine over for just a second then remove the valve covers again and install the glow plug. Hope this helps and thank you for watching
@tbrizzley6347Ай бұрын
@CountryMileGarage yikes I already took out the glow plugs and fuel injectors of the right side out, I was only able to take out the one drain bolt out the other one was stripped and I couldn't get it out is my engine done for?
@CountryMileGarageАй бұрын
@@tbrizzley6347 no it's not done for as described above. Change the injectors out and before putting the glow plugs back in just set the valve covers on crank the engine over for a second so it can push the oil out of the cylinders through the glow plug holes (the valve covers will keep the oil from flying everywhere) take the valve covers back off and reinstall the glow plugs. Hope this helps and again thank you for watching
