15:45 - the corner cut skipped a key checkpoint (a bit after the 90 degree left turn) so that’s why it wouldn’t count the lap Btw the “generous” respawn is because you’re not supposed to be able to fall off during the first half of the track so they didn’t put respawns there. The respawn does skip a key checkpoint however, so unfortunately it wouldn’t count the lap, which is also why it kept spawning you back there on the “first” lap.

You should play item rain, you find it in settings, click more settings twice and then click all items can land and item rain offline buttons and you are good to go, it literally rains items and you can pick up stars, bullets and mega mushrooms in first. You must cross each key checkpoint in order, or the one that you skip will not spawn you there. Say there is 8 key checkpoints and you cross 1-4, but then you skip 5 and go to 6. If you fall off, you will respawn at 4. I hope this explains why you kept respawning on the bridge. But idk about 15:29. It should've worked.
