It is the hardest MK game no doubt. New MK games are baby games compared to it. Only ones that even come close are Super Circuit and 64. 64 rubber banding is horrendous and the cpus I feel like are always faster than you. I will be bowser and toad will just cruise right by me without any speed items after making up the ground of my 5+ second break away almost instantly. It’s ridiculous. Super Mario Kart however is just another lvl of jankiness and unfairness.

The heavyweights have the speed, acceleration, and off-road disadvantage, but the weight makes everyone else spin out and they can’t do that from getting hit. I’m not a fan of it, but I guess it makes sense because then they wouldn’t really have an advantage. But that being said, the reason MK64 is the hardest is because when you get hit, it slows you down way too dramatically.

Quick tips! In Coconut Mall, you can do tricks off the red railings on the escalators! Also, when you fall off the map, you can time your landing by pressing 2 the moment you land back on the map to get a boost! Hope this helps!

To POW dodge while using the Wii Remote Sideways/Wii Wheel, briefly shake the Wii Remote/Wii Wheel in a quick (but light) upward and downward motion. You only need to do it once to perform the dodge. Try to not do POW dodges on sharp turns at top speed, otherwise you risk flying to the side of the track off-road. The timing is right after the third quake noise from the POW. You get a feel for it the more you practice it.
