Love the mythology of the Burden of Dreams boulder. Whilst there's several V17's now, it really feels like the holy grail to me. Just 5 hard moves, no tricks, just hard bouldering. Would love to see more sends for sure!

It's mad that it took over half a decade for the best of the next generation with better training background, an amazing 3D print replica and the knowledge about the beta (don't forget that Nalle did experiment with different betas over multiple seasons before committing to the one everyone is now using) to even come close to standing a chance. Not to mention the mental aspect of him literally climbing into unknown territory difficult wise, not knowing if its even possible. And to top it all off it is such an amazing pure and aesthetically pleasing boulder. I think Wills, Shawns, Stefanos, Aidans etc. amazing focus and progress on this has really been an eye opener what an awesome achievement that FA was.

@@manseau7214 Yes, Aiden and Shawn are good contenders, although I feel Mr.Bosi is extremely close. I believe the gap is wider in sport, where people like Ste and Seb are quite a bit ahead still. But I am under the impression Mr.Bosi is just getting started; people do need some time to get used to new ideas.

It is SO NICE to see all the strong folks working on Burden! You'd have thought BoD would become one of those monoliths, more myth than reality -- too inaccessible, too hard, too _pure_ -- and Nalle one of those holy monks who suffers for our salvation, a path we admire but do not walk. It would be crazy to see Lattice analyze a large cohort of climbers, working on the replica over a extended period of time. Test finger strength, weight, climbing style, and then begin to count how much time/how many sessions it took to link individual moves on a five move Boulder. I think that could be easily scored and a lot of interesting insights about limit climbing and the marginal strength gains that happen in that space could be studied.

I thought Stefano would be more suited to endurance boulders like Alphane, but wow he's got serious power in the tank! If he were to send BOD he would skip 8C and 8C+ which has certainly never been done before. All that for his big goal - 9c training! Reminds me of Ondra sending 2 8C+ while training for the worlds first 9b+
