Penetration test featuring the 9mm. Testing fullsize versus sub compact capabilities.

Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Fullsize 4.25" barrel
Smith & Wesson 9 Shield 3.125" barrel
Ammo:
Winchester White Box 115gr 9mm.

This was a very good idea to look for the difference between a full size and sub compact firearm. I was a little surprised it was a close as it was. I guess the velocity difference between the two barrels was not that great. Thank you for the video.

I would like to see a 135 grain 9mm vs 135 grain 357 sig vs 135 grain 357 magnum preferably using Hornady critical duty please!

To get better results with these tests you should do multiple shots with each gun because some of the commercial ammo can very in fps up to 100 fps difference but with better ammo like buffalo bore and Underwood they tend to be closer or above the advertised velocities unlike the more cheap commercial stuff like white box and remington stuff I've noticed

at the short a range to difference is negligible at best. id like to see you do another vid, same weapons, same ammo at ranges of 25-50 yards and see the difference then. my guess is that the military uses full size pistols is because the longer barrels extends the effective range

Interesting results! Wouldn't have thought they would have been so close. I wonder if a larger full size like a Glock 17 at 4.48" or Browning Hi Power at 4.685" barrel would make much difference? .327 federal magnum out of a ruger lcr with 1.87" barrel vs sp101 at 4.2" would also be interesting to see. Great videos, never get tired of the different experiments!
