@@ChrisFontenot exactly! I unsubscribed this week because of this. It used to be good when we got sporadic in-depth videos from Jeff. Now it's just this click-bait type of content just so they can publish a new video every day or every other day... Each beta release, each rumour, each feature is milked into a 10 to 15 minute video with the same attention grabbing 😱thumbnail and basically no new content.

ChrisFontenot Not really. I once subscribed to this channel because of Jeff Benjamin. He has top-notch content. Then came this mustachioed guy from another channel with his monotonous and annoying iPad videos. If Jeff didn't show up here once in a while, I would have forgotten about this channel a long time ago. Jeff would be better off doing reviews on his own channel.

Can you ask Siri to complete tasks in the operating system instead of just knowledge questions? Like ask it to make a folder in Files. Or select all the photos with dogs in them in photos app and then copy them to a folder in files. or in mail show me all the emails from the particular company and then make a smart folder of them and a rule that automatically tags them all as green when new ones come in.

It is the ability to see the screen, operate any controls or menus; and what I will call domain knowledge of types of software, like word processing, photos, etc that is really what Apple Intelligence is about. With the last bit being how any developer will be able to make their software integrate deeply to Apple Intelligence and the NPU. It's boss level. Sad they are still showing the boring and meaningless stuff. (except for improving dictation)

@@KennyVert he even said he’s pretty sure old Siri could give all the same information. The fact that it lost context when asked about weather in NY and showed weather in his area is disappointing. I’d rather Apple get it together when it comes to AI as opposed to spending resources and time on stupid projects like self-driving car and a “robotic-arm-display”. Or even Vision Pro, for that matter.

I’m not a fan of what they did to photos. It seems a bit too cluttered now, I preferred it before where it was just the photos. I know I’ll get used to it until they decide to change it again. LOL.

Siri is definitely faster but still not very smart. Some other people have pointed out that when you asked to divide 1000 by 4 it divided 9 by 4. Also you lacked about NYC and asked what the weather was there and it just gave you New Jersey weather again. I’m keep thinking thinking back to that video of Sroujj and Ternus where they laughed when asked if they were behind on AI. Everyone assumed this was a knowing laugh. But the more I see what Apple is offering, the more it’s clear they are behind on AI.

You need to go to “Apple Intelligence and Siri” settings. Then “Siri Responses” and switch it to prefer spoken responses.

@@benimaruhou429 They tried that and she was very unhappy about the use of her voice without permission. On the other hand, I think that Marvel, or Disney [???] released the JARVIS APP with the JARVIS voice [and some personality] about 10 [?] years ago. I don't think the App works anymore, but the database of the voice responses are still floating around in some public databases.

Siri was sure quick at giving you wrong answers! When you asked about New York and then said “what’s the weather there?” It gave you the weather from your original location rather than NY. It’s never going to get better, is it.

I’d say it’s on par with ChatGPT in that respect. Sometimes in as little as 2 or 3 responses it’ll start to hallucinate.
