In my opinion, series 9 could actually be the best series in the whole programme, although series 6 and 8 were also exceptionally good, because Dynasty found a new way to re-ignite the feud between Alexis and Blake whilst going back to the original reason why Alexis was forced to leave Denver and her children in the first place, Roger Grimes and then of course Fallon is revealed as the one who accidently killed Roger Grimes whilst trying to protect her mother. Also there's Adam up to his usual tricks and in this series he is at his nastiest after the breakdown of his marriage to Dana and the custody loss of his son. Although Linda Evans left the programme earlier in the series, Sable is then introduced into the programme and the verbal feuds between Alexis and Sable are just as good. In many ways it is a shame that Dynasty was cancelled at this point but at the same time, they probably inadvertently made one of the best unanswered cliff-hangers in TV history. Although the reunion does shed some light on the ending to this scene, it was not to my knowledge an official series, so to some extent this ending is how the actual TV series concludes.

Amanda was also a legend on Britian's Longest Running Soap Opera Coronation Street where she played Alma Baldwin. Stephanie also appeared on the show as an Actress who did theater an lived on a Boat. Stephanie and Joan also did Shows from Shed Productions. Joan did Footballers Wives about the glamorous lives of Women whose Husbands play for The UK's most powerful Soccer Team. To many it would be the prototype for The Real Life Housewives Franchise. sometime after the show ended Collins said in an interview that she was not returning if she had been renewed for a 10th season....she had grown bored with the role and felt that alexis had done it all there was nothing the writers cld come up with that she wld find challenging enough to return...the only thing that she might have found challenging was if they killed off alexis and had joan return has her twin sister...similar to the linda evans doppelganger storyline...n that was ttl bullshit.....joan was pissed that they wrote her out of 9 episodes of the sason ....essentially taking food out her mouth since she was not paid for episodes she did not appear in...meanwhile John F was not written out of any episodes....i knew Joan's compensation per episodes at the start of season 2....dynasty was at the door step of cancelation....there are 2 primary reasons that did not come 2 pass..1) abc relationship with spelling...2) producers had advised abc the gameplan for increasing viewership n that was to cast an actress in the role of blake's x-wife....at that time joan was not even in the running...there were two actresses on the short list....liz taylor & sofia loren...lproducers met with taylor...however, forsythe,nixed her(i have never heard any explanation why)...producers were very open to loren but her asking was way more than they were open to paying so no counter offer was made.....and they moved on....someone on the creative side of the show (i believe it was the shapiros) caught collins late nite in movie based on her sisters book....the bitch and the rest is theatrical history.....by the end of s5...dynasty had climed to the #1 show which coinsided with expiration of joans 2nd contract....joan a vet in the industry struck while the iron was hot...named her price....she was not open to negotiating...it was a take it leave it situation....once she boycotted the s5/e1 n was a no show....they met her demands(inclusive of a 6 figure retention bonus...certf chck to be exchanged at contract signing)....however,shit went ttly left when collins refused to appear on the colby's.....the writing her out of 9 episodes for s9 was pay back n joan was pissed....the show had enough cast that what ever the 9 episodes equated 2....cld have been made upamong the supporting cast....joan was a principle...as such she shld have been part of every episode...

There's a hand in the bottom left corner holding up Dex's back! 😊 Edit: If you play it in slo-mo and pause at 2.51 you can also see the top of someone's head directly behind Alexis' left shoulder. I suppose this was the 80s so things like this were less easily noticed when watching on TV. More likely to be spotted on a video replay by then but it looks like they were using old stunt techniques here. The two figures that actually fell appear to be dummies attached together; Dex's legs look unnaturally straight. Actually there's even more bad editing as at 2.41 a woman and then a man are seen approaching along the walkway behind Alexis. The camera then cuts away from her, then back to her in a split second, and the two people have vanished from the walkway completely. 😏

I watched an episode (5th episode) a few months ago of the Mexican telenovela El color de la pasion (the color of passion) which aired in 2014. The episode featured a fall by the heroine similar to this but in that case she was "accidently" gently pushed during an argument by her jealous younger sister; I wonder if those writers got the idea from this scene?

This doesn't make sense. How old is Sable supposed to be? (Not Stephanie Beacham, she was 39.) In The Colbys, Monica has an 8-year-old son. How can a woman who's been a grandmother for 8 years be pregnant? Possible, but really stretching things. I guess Sable married no later than 18 and Monica had her child at 16? Sable is 42?

No, of course not. All I meant was the choreography wasn't very realistic, and it needed another camera to catch whatever the first one would have missed. Krystle's pregnancy falls down the steps and off the horse were better staged.
