1970 Convertable would be my favorite. My parents were Buick people but they got Lesabre's and Wildcats. If they had waited just a year later they could have gotten the new Centurian, beautiful car in 71and 72.

Buick 1968 GS Colorado model, factory model or dealer promotion add on? Never seen factory literature or reference to Colorado model. Believe this was a local dealer gimmick where they created a mold for Colorado logo to replace the California emblem. Also these had the Pillar, so these are considered 2 door sedans, not hardtops which have no pillar.

@@IfThisCarCouldTalk I am a Buick guy for sure,but the announcer was mistaken on the hp being 471 on the stock stage 1 . It was reported to be 371 by Dennis Manner. Some think maybe as much 430.

I find it somewhat strange that Dennis Manner,the main engineering lead for the stage project's,stated the stage 1 engine was tested and produced almost the exact hp the big car 370 hp 455. The stage 1 had so many upgrades compared to the big series 455 and yet not rated higher. I heard from some of the original engineers the 360 rating was as installed,not just dyno numbers

@@IfThisCarCouldTalk There were other district or zone cars,I believe there was a GS arizona, montana, wyoming. I guess they went with the cool sounding states. Somehow a GS New Jersey didn't seem quite right

@@FrozenFroob Funny how certain cars are always missing a particular part. 1970 Buick Electra's nearly always have the Buick insignia missing from the front bumper - I can only recall seeing 1 or two that had them.
