Very first song I ever heard by logic back in 2013. Instantly hooked into all albums before he became mainstream. Fucking legend with how this song touched me after my life fell apart and my adoptive family kicked me out a week before christmas and a year later I hear from someone else they moved away from the ghetto to Las Vegas. Very different and hard times will definitely make you or break you. I used to cry to this song but now in 2022 it reminds me of all the pain I felt and is like fuel to the fire in my soul. I deserve to be successful.

Intro: Monsters of Folk (Sampled)] Dear God, I'm trying hard to reach you Dear God, I see your face in all I do Sometimes it's so hard to believe in [Verse: Logic] Dear God, I think it's time we had a conversation These lonely nights is getting to me so my mind is racing I think about this life I live and all the shit I'm facing More secrets in my mind than a freemason I get lonely at times, and then I write these rhymes I'm only human, I want to hit the club and fuck a dime But I know that's not the answer to my problems Lord help me solve them, disintegrate and dissolve them Laying in bed with a girl I'm pretty sure is my next Contemplating the sex... while I think about my ex Am I wrong, yeah Dear God, am I wrong, uh Dear God, tell me, am I wrong? For living the life of a king surrounded by these pawns Fans telling me I'm the greatest but I never hear them Cause I ain't hit the pinnacle yeah I'm still persevering Demons whispering in my ear but no I never fear them People thinking they on his level they ain't even near him I just want to spread positivity Through lyrical ability They call it selling out but I just call it versatility Yeah, its my life My wrongs, and My rights My battle, My songs, and My fights Now everybody want to come around Tell me where was you last year when a brother was down Not a single one of you mother fuckers believed in the brand Extended a hand And now you want to be my man I think not You quick to shape shift like ink blots The real Dilla we cut classic no fitters What about the time I was nine And my mama almost murdered me? Don't think I forgot that shit, it still burdens me Her bare hands tight around my throat "I can't breathe" I screamed, "I can't breathe mama Don't you want me mama? Don't you love me mama?" What the fuck Where was you then God? Tell me now How's a brother supposed to stay sane? Tell me how Why you let me live but let another die Why you dry my tears but let another cry Gotta know Set to detonate I gotta blow That shit for show I used to wonder why in the hell you would make me suffer But now in the end I understand that it made me tougher

Thank god for logic. Going back to this music just brings back amazing memories. I've grown so much and it feels good to go back to "the classics." It reminds me of simpler times and also how much I've grown as a person. To bad we can't turn back time

Welcome new fans I've been fucking with Logic since 11'. You've stumbled along real fucking music and that is dope especially in this generation. This is real rap gente, take it all in because he's a lyrical genius. Watching him move up is the greatest success seeing. Check this out, I used to bump "Let's Get High" 5 years ago while smoking a blunt and now having my cousin saying "Hey, there's a new rapper I saw on the VMA's." Seeing it was Logic was just heartwarming. much love to Logic and those who will share this love too. Enjoy!

Just remember that you are loved and that you matter whatever the circumstances. Not to sound preachy, but don't forget to listen to your heart. Don't panic about making mistakes. We all make them. Without proper guidance, how is one not supposed to make a mistake? That being said, having made the mistake... you have to take accountability for the part you played. I would advise that you take a long look at WHY it happened... rather than, A person 20% responsible... B person 30% responsible... etc There is a solid reason for why things happen as they do. Just remember... the more truth you seek... the higher the peak... the harder it gets... Be safe & kind towards each other...

This song right here got me actually thinking about God. Just last year I was involved in a fatal accident due to my careless actions. I've been an alcoholic since 18, i'm 24 now. Last year, when I was 23, i used to bump this song back and forth after studying. I never realized how I could relate it, until now. The part where Logic says, "why you let me live, and let another die" hit me real hard, especially now that I have listened to it now. GOD always works in mysterious ways, our time on this Earth is always written. That accident was an act of Devine intervention. I try staying thankful, trying not to drink, or get into any other drugs. So far, so good, but one bad move can throw it all away. Today, is December 25th, 2020, and although it has been an insane year, i'm still thankful to be here. For those struggling as well, keep talking to God, he will answer, you just have to believe. Incase you forget, refresh yourself by listening to this song. Thank you God for everything you have given us. Peace and love.

I love how despite his past he stays strong and keeps the faith and instead of getting mad at god or refusing to believe he doesn't blame god but thanks god and it takes a man to do that. For all the people who don't believe in god.. You should really open your eyes

DizzyCinema how are you to tell anyone that their eyes are closed if they don't believe in god?
@Punjabispitta9 жыл бұрын
DizzyCinema Yeah I'm sure a little kid with cancer is God's way of making that kid tougher. He'll be way tougher when he's dead, that's for sure. This is what I don't get about you religious people. Do you really think that God is trying to make little young ones in Africa tougher by making them starve to death? Or is he trying to make Indian kids tougher by having their legs cut off and have them force to beg for money for their entire life? What is the true purpose of their lives anyways? Should they thank God too? See I'll keep living my life without faith and actually try to do something for humanity in any way I can. Believing a divine ruler isn't going to solve any problems. We as human beings control what goes on in this world as far as poverty, diseases, corrupt governments, and overall living go, WE are the ones who need to step up and do something about these topics. Praying and worshiping a magical man in the sky won't do shit for you unless you really are that weak minded, so maybe YOU should be the one to open your eyes and see reality for what it is. Now go do some thinking and come back to me.
@HECOULDBETHEBESTONEYET123449 жыл бұрын
+Harnoor Singh life is a test. sometimes going through the worst makes you a better person. That one kid that had his leg cut off might inspire some other kids that they don't have to give up. Now, you probably know that horrible things happen in this world but god never said once in the bible that the world was easy and that bad things won't happen and he never said that believing in him would make it better. If you believe in something would you want someone like the way you are acting, hating on the things you truly believe in. The fact that you are trying to down or disprove a religion makes you ignorant and shows how disrespectful you truly are.

Listening to this in 2018 shows that anything is possible and that Logic accomplished his goal. His album "EVERYBODY" made his motto "Peace, Love, and positivity" come true. Logic has changed my life in multiple ways and he will always be my favorite musical artist. Bobby, you are an amazing human being and I hope the rest of your life is incredible.
