The instrumental is from The German anthem, being a dig at The Hanoverians

It's the tune of the German anthem, but it sounds like Come out ye black and tans because its the same instrument, as Ireland and Scotland have a shared Gaelic culture

I recognize the 1948 Bonnie Prince Charlie film and Outlander from the clips in this video, but not the rest. Could anyone please tell me? It'd be much appreciated!

Two of them are definitely the Bonnie Prince Charlie movie released in 1948 (as an example, you can see clips of it in 0:07 , 0:36 and more) and the series Outlander ( 0:18 , 1:20 ). However I am still on the search for the rest, hope this information can be useful!

And they didn't stoped having German has their mother tongue until after world war 1 when they decided to a 180% turn and also changed their surname to windsor. Queen Elizabeth was the first one to have English has her mother tongue.

Uhhhhhhh King George III was born in Britain and never even visited Hanover, English was his mother tongue, same with every monarch after him.
@lucario21883 ай бұрын
@@ImperialFederationGB To determine King George III mother tongue is difficult since he was taught English and German language at the same time. Evidence of this are family letters, but they semmed to have a inclination to speak in German among family. Same with Victoria her mother tongue was German and among family they used German because of her husband Albert since Albert mother tongue was german and he prefered. Victoria sons and daugther also spoke german has their mother tongue since Albert preferred German and they used German among family after that it became a tradition for them to speak german has their mother tongue Until ww1 where they decided to abandon the teaching of German to Royal Children. Queen Elizabeth is the only we can say without doubt that English was her mother tongue.

@@ImperialFederationGB Edward VII no, all of Victoria Children had German has their mother tongue due to Prince Albert.
