First of all Mike Muir and suicidal crew got me thru my teen life, then came Infectious Grooves!!! My mother passed in 84, I found them just at the right time in my life. Thank you guys so much for being my rock!! By the way, saw suicidal 4 times, met a few of you in Worcester, best day, but I was shy haha. Great music, great lyrics in suicidal tendencies for me, needed to feel understood!!! And great change of focus for me with Infectious Grooves. You're still my favorite band and go to when I'm pissed or low!! Haha over 30 years later!!

Infectious Groove is like Primus, the bass is very audible and loud with the bassist player Bein very high skill (both Les Claypool and Rober truijro are very skilled bass players), but the difference is the song style, and even though both bands are from different genres, they are the same in the lyrics and humor of the songs: very goofy and silly while being really serious at the same time (with Infectious bein more to the silly part than the serious part). Also Infectious Grooves kick ass alot, probably the most badass funk Metal band ever!

People just now realizing this guy can actually play bass always crack me up. Most professional bassists are incredible musicians with an insane amount of discipline and humility because they are willing to not be front and center with some wild guitar solos that they could definitely play but they lay back and do the fundamentals because they know they can do it well. That's the case most of the time believe it or not.

+destrocrimson true, but if you know both bands you would find out how different they are. Similar, "yeah", but not the same and Infectious cannot be compare even for chilli peppers, Suicidal influence is clearly shown on them and they were first than chilli peppers, so for me is chilli peppers that sounds like them (in some point)...my humble opinion.
@destrocrimson
@destrocrimson 9 жыл бұрын
so me making a simple comment that neither dissed either band means I know nothing about either? I just made a flippant comment about how the chili peppers used to sound and if you listen to their debut album you would see that one band did copy the others sound and its not this band in the video.

+♀A♀ I dunno, it's all very well putting out stuff that is to your exact taste (Assuming Metallica isn't to his exact taste..), but at the end of the day it's nice to have a house and a car and a bit of money stashed away to help your kids do the same and be able to eat whatever food you like and take a couple of holidays here and there and help your friends and family out with money if they need it. He wasn't in the situation to do half of that stuff before. Plus he makes Metallica sound way better than the previous guy did, so it's good if you're a Metallica fan, their old songs now sound way better live. Kurt, Krist and Riki Rachtman brought me here.
