Moho was first developped under BeOs in 1996 or 1997. BeOs was an alternative Os made by Jean-Louis Gassé, a former ceo from apple. Unfortunately this Os disappeared but Moho remained. At this period Moho was the very first and only 2d animation software to use bones system. I was pretty astonished to see how powerful it was.

I remember BeOS. I never used it but I did use Linux and Warp OS. I remember GUIs over DOS such as Gem3 desktop. I think with the backing all these could have been better than MS windows OS. Or at least as good. What MS windows turned into is not an Operating System but it does do some of that but it is more of a marketing tool pushing things on users they just do not want. I am now using Zorin OS hoping to totally replace windows programs.

I first used Moho as a plug in for Flash around 1998 or so. Flash had a very weak set of character animation tools and Moho was a huge step forward.

I'm actually surprised to learn that Moho is used in professional productions. Usually, the "industry standard"" software is something absurdly expensive like Adobe Animate or Toon Boom Harmony.

Nothing to compare. Moho is used for building rigs while tv paint is for making traditional animation

Probably already mentioned here somewhere, but "moe" is actually pronounced as "moh-ay." Moe is sometimes spelled as "Moé." Common mistake.

I'm 2 minutes into the video, and have already heard multiple errors. Moho's rise popularity has *definitely* not been because the name Moho, features the syllable "Mo". "Moe" is pronounced Mo-Ey, and most of the animation that the moho community makes is outside of that genre. Secondly, Moho wasn't split into 'Pro' and 'Debut' in 2016. I'm not sure when they split the versions, but I was able to find ebay listings for both Anime Studio Pro 7 and AS Debut 7, and that came out in 2010. Also, it's misleading to show imagery from Moho 13.5, when you're talking about a change made in 2016. Moho 13.5 didn't come out until 2021... If you're going to make an informative video, it's important to make sure your information is accurate. These errors may not seem like a big deal, but they really undermine the credibility of this channel. 😒
