I grew up in a predominantly white area, was the only black girl in my grade. Thank the Lord, another one showed up in the third grade and we have been best friends over 20 years. Movies like Love and Basketball and Brown Sugar gave me some great memories. They made us laugh, cry, and feel a part of the culture. Classics.

So much so that I did some research during the pandemic shutdown....and found that actually it has been put out like you were suggesting here ...I found the ENTIRE Series DVD collection set on my Amazon app and swooped it up.... ordered it and now own it for life to watch over and over again.... because that show will always be classic black cinema..just like the original movie version too.
