Great vid man, your vids are awesome. The hill you dubbed Josh JB Hill leads to the top of Ball Bearing. Josh JB Hill is the chicken track 😬 The gully you called Little Red is called Canyon You were leaking fuel at the start of the valley of death track, people normally go in the opposite direction. I'll take you around Glasshouse if you like, we can go to little red for real :)

Another great vid. Good to see a SEQ fella giving it a crack. Endless great trails in glasshouse. Making me homesick. I’m a sunnie coast local living overseas these days.

Yeah going down a bit scetchier than going up. Don't realise until your up though. And you've gotta come back down. I'm very new to off road riding. Have a klr and thinking of downsizing due to putting myself in situations that the klr is very cumbersome in. and this does stop me from continuing on some tracks as i ride solo and really don't fancy the idea of trying to man handle the klr out if a situation that i can't just ride it out of.

Geez Josh, they do make trials bikes you know for those rock ledges. Hey I just noticed your seat. Is it a brand one or locally modified?

Mate I have a sore neck, I kept lifting my head to try and see up ahead. Bummer about the camera angle. Great to see another tractor committing to the hard stuff. All you need to do now is move back to Sydney. Plenty of riding to be had and not solo. Just saying. 👍
@rossh985 Жыл бұрын
Yeah Sydney and Melbourne has the most riding places. I moved up to qld few years ago and the bush is mainly private property or national parks with closed gates. Therefore I'm moving back down to Vic where the real adventures at at! Oh also its way too hot to ride in qld most of the year 🔥
@_JoshJB_ Жыл бұрын
😂 man I found myself doing the same while editing. Didn’t want to waste a good ride though. I completely agree mate, except for the Sydney part 😂

Hey mate I’ve got a alpine stars bionic action V2. I’ve used it for my Fraser Island trip and the cape York adventure. It’s great for the warmer weather. Yet to use it in colder climates but I think with enough layers it might still go well 👍🏼

A bit of foot dabbing there on the downhill😮…and we short riders hear the big fellas lecture about just become a better rider , don’t worry about seat height ..😊
@6226superhurricane Жыл бұрын
if you adjust your idle mixture screw a 1/4 turn out it'll help prevent that stalling. but you got it absolutely right when you said it needs commitment, commit to riding feet on the pegs, clutch out revs up. you've already lost if you're paddling up with your feet on the ground and riding the clutch, plus it's too much hard work.
@deancooper5513 Жыл бұрын
100% way too low on revs and not covering clutch enough to manage flame outs, probably want to drop tyre pressures to about 12psi, run maybe 11psi in the rear for better traction if you're running HD tubes. As he was riding alone he probably had some self preservation going on, but if you get stuck out there the difference can all be in the level of commitment at the start, as some hills out there take names all day long.

Don't know what bike to buy I'm about 30 minutes from glasshouse would you recommend a drz400
@_JoshJB_Сағат бұрын
@@levro7367 it’s a great all round bike to ride to the trails and back again. But just depends what riding you want to do. If you want to trailer a bike in I’d look at something else. But the DRZ can do everything pretty well.

….”either way, I know I can ..always, get myself out of trouble with this bike”. 🙄 I admire your ‘confidence’ Josh, but, has the thought ..ever, crossed your mind about ..what, you would do, when riding these sorts of steep and very rough ‘tracks’ ..ALONE, ..IF, you came unstuck/came off, and ..snapped, an ankle, OR, ..broke a leg, in an area with Australia’s ..typical, ..piss-poor, mobile phone coverage/reception…?? 🙄🙄
