Necromancer Obediah seems like a really cleverly made boss, you can see how his moveset was pulled from so many different sources and games, but it comes together to make a nice single boss that fits well with the Swordsman-Pyromancer style of Carthus.

Would be better without or with less summons for sure, but the summons aren’t that bad (Kremmel is F tier because of the summons, which is why he just goes for them instantly in this video). Phoenix might be the coolest in the mod but he has very poor openings especially in p2, as you may see in this video how long p2 took, you really have to try and find the openings and get creative. Hopefully that gets fixed

Honestly, some of these transformations were really inspired. Omen of the Eclipse felt a bit random - but Saint Klimt summoning enemies, fusing with them in some weird ritual, and then emerging from the ground genuinely made my jaw drop. I hope whatever folks were in charge of that feel pretty good about themselves.

Okay, all jokes aside the creators did a crazy good job. The environment, the feeling of Dark Souls, and the rebalancing and redesigning of bosses so they fit in the DS3 combat system is absolutely amazing, especially on top of the fact that a lot of assets were flipped from other titles. Most bosses just felt overly spammy. Like the Heide Phoenix takes ages to kill because he gives you no openings in the 2nd phase. Also the reused movesets, while not necessarily terrible gameplay wise, don’t give any of these bosses character. I’ll never remember Kremmel as anything but that guy who has moves from Radagon/Gundyr/Artorias. I at least appreciate them managing the Greatwolf/Abyss Watcher gank, so that only 1 ever actively targets you, but for the most part, it really only feels like they picked the most acrobatic or visually stunning stuff to stuff your face with.

The bosses are hard since the upgrade materials are just.. hard to find. Refined gem and raw gem farms are in undead settlement with the lothric farming. Very very low drops +4 to +6 access is locked after silver captain. twinkling and titanite scale are limited. two bosses's AI can be completly broken. Overall a 8/10 for the demo. Amazing.

I truly appreciate the effort put into the environments and the original assets, it looks incredible, and it's clear to me that there's some serious talent there, but having a boss that's literally just Godfrey in phase 1 and an Ulcerated Tree Spirit in phase 2 is extremely underwhelming no matter how you slice it. Plenty of mods have come out for these games that disguise animation re-use very well or do it very cleverly, whereas this one appears to have made little effort to do as such, they're just straight copy-paste movesets (with a few exceptions). It's a demo. I'm not the first person to point these things out, they need these criticisms if they want to improve for the full release, and I'm sure they'll take it on board and make improvements.

It is basically a collection of Miyazaki Hidetaka all works. If you have played it all, you should be able to easily see all boss movements like all his works.
